Late to Ptolemaic Period, 664-30 BC. A group of good-sized glazed composition amulets consisting of; stamp seal with lotus flowers to the top, underside engraved with geometric motif; sow standing on rectangular base; three Bes figures with plumed headdress; face of Bes with plumed headdress, tongue sticking out; coiled uraeus cobra on rectangular base; dog with head turned to left, inlaid eyes; reclining Apis bull wearing sun-disc and feathers headdress; Eye of Horus with inlaid pupil. 43 grams total, 23-44mm (1 - 1 3/4"). Property of a South West London gentleman; acquired by his father in the 1970s; by descent 1986. [10, No Reserve] Fine condition.

A domed discoid wooden stamp with square handle to the reverse, 'IC XC' and 'NI KI' to the flat face; main face with arches in the spandrels, block of three squares each with 'IC XC' and 'NI KI', larger 'A' flanked by crosses and panel of locked triangles. 61 grams, 12cm (4 3/4"). Property of a London gentleman; acquired by his father in the 1970s; thence by descent. Fine condition.
7th-8th century AD. A carved marble stamp seal matrix, rectangular with raised handle and grid detail to the upper face, grid design with PO?A (Rosa?) characters. 41 grams, 40mm (2 3/4"). Property of a European gentleman; formerly acquired on the German art market before 1980. [No Reserve] Fine condition.

A carnelian oval stamp seal with domed top; engraved to the underside with a pair of bearded priests in long robes either side of an altar; to the top the sun, moon and seven stars of constellation Pleiades. 20 grams, 31mm (1 1/4"). From the collection of a North West London gentleman; acquired in the 1980s. Very fine condition.

A haematite stamp seal with cuboid body engraved to each outer face with an animal: lion, ibex, bull, lion; to the underside a seated male figure with sceptre, leaping ram to the front; tubular suspension loop to the top. 35 grams, 34mm (1 1/2"). Acquired on the London art market prior to 1980. [No Reserve] Very fine condition.
6th-4th century BC. A stone stamp seal engraved top the underside with a stylised human figure seated on a throne in front of a trestle table. 4.75 grams, 19mm (3/4"). Property of a European gentleman living in London; previously from an American collection formed in the 1950s. Fine condition.

A mixed bronze group comprising: a chessman stamp seal with ribbed baluster to the shank, pierced lozengiform lug, motif of a seated figure with spindle(?) and heater shield with chevron; a finger ring with round-section shank, ellipsoid bezel with signet of 'R' beneath a stylised crown within a frame; a pipe-tamper of armoured St. George spearing a supine dragon with his lance. 31 grams total, 23-65mm (1 - 2 1/2"). Ex Stratford collection, Suffolk, UK; acquired on the UK art market after 2000. [3, No Reserve] Fine condition.
17th-18th century AD. A square bronze bread stamp with applied cruciform handle, image of a crowd of nimbate saints surrounding the shrouded body of Christ recumbent with Mary Theotokos, infant Jesus and winged angel above. 34 grams, 43mm (1 3/4"). Property of a British gentleman; formerly in the private collection of Russian businessman Yuri Golubev (1942-2007), some of his collection was published in his book 'Symbols and Images'; previously with Iconastas Russian Fine Art and Antiques, London SW1; formerly in the collections of Constable-Maxwell and Lord McAlpine in the 1980s-1990s; accompanied by a copy of the invoice for a part of the collection acquired from Iconastas dated 26 September 2005.
