A collection of photographs and ephemera relating to London Transport and the London Underground. Approximately 140 large (17x22cm) black & white photographs, some smaller.Earliest image dated January 1936, plenty of 1950s-60s images. Track laying, over and underground, men at work, inspection of works, wonderful group photograph of workmen, many images relating to post-war improvements, clearing of air raid shelters, tree felling, garden and flower bed laying etc. Most with LT stamp on reverse. Also approx 50 colour photographs, similar subject matter as above. Approx 260 small colour transparency slides, 185 in fitted wooden case. Subjects: 1960/70s station improvements, garden and flower bed laying etc. Fitted wooden case of approximately 90 colour transparencies, 8x8cm, possibly 1950s, similar subjects as previous. Mould damaged. Also Summer/Winter North and South views of track sections, official photographs with list of locations.Other ephemera include three London Transport armbands, various LT information/safety booklets. The London Transport Executive Rule Book 1933.Official London Transport Executive Maps of London Stations & Bridges 1977. Plus large quantity (25 folders) containing engineering diagrams and information relating to track mileage, points, platforms, bridges etc on the Metropolitan, Northern and Hammersmith & City lines. Also two folders 'Permanent Way Dept' Statistics 1967 & 1968.

A collection of Aynsley "Orchard Gold" pattern porcelain, 20th century, comprising a pair of matching twin handled vases and covers, three further vases, a cream jug, a matching pair of fruit bowls, four plates and five small dishes. CONDITION REPORT: Of the two tall vases and covers one cover has a small rim chip. The other cover has been broken in two and glued and there is a 1.5 cm x 1 cm section of the interior rim missing. The vases are structurally in good order although one does have white scratch marks around the base of the foot. One vase has a green printed mark, the other red. A hexagonal shape vase is in good order and has a red stamp mark. The pickle dish is in good order and has a green stamp. The onion shape vase is in good order and has a green stamp. The miniature plate and two small dishes are all in good order and have green stamps. The squat lidded vase and cover is in good order and has a blue stamp. The small cream jug is in good order and has a green stamp. The large plate, two dessert plates and two fruit bowls are all in good order and have a red printed mark. The large plate with a claret border is in good order and has a green/black stamp. The shell shaped dish is in good order and has a green/black stamp.
A Cello, length of back 76 cm, circa 1900. CONDITION REPORT: There is a bow measuring just under 72 cm. The bow has no makers stamp. There is only a canvas carry bag. Within the bag there is a spare tuning key. The cello has no makers mark or label. There are signs of old repairs throughout, confirmed by traces of old glue. Looking directly at the cello there are scuff marks and old repairs on the top right hand corner along with a 5 cm split. The left hand top side has also been bashed and the varnish has flaked. The bottom left hand side has had a restoration. On the bottom right hand side there is a small piece missing from the edge of the body and also just opposite the F hole. It has a two piece back. This would require careful restoration before being playable. The cello has a very thin band of purfling.
