Geologie - Bergbau - - Carl Heinrich Brockmann. Die metallurgischen Krankheiten des Oberharzes. Aus der Bibliothek von Ernst August I. von Hannover, in dessen prachtvollem Gedenkeinband. Osterode, Sorge, (1851). XIV, 376 S. Gr.-8°. Prächtiger roter Ganzldr. d. Zt. mit gold- und silbergepr. gestaffelten Fileten, reichen goldgepr. Bordüren im Rocaille-Stil, goldgepr. gekrönten Initialen auf VDeckel und gekröntem Wappen auf HDeckel. Goldgepr. florale Ornamentik und Titel auf Rücken. Steh- und Innenkantenfileten, dreis. Goldschnitt (etwas fleckig, minimal berieben). Titel rückseitig mit dem Bibliotheksstempel Ernst Augusts von Hannover (1771-1851). Aufwendig gebunden in einem reich vergoldeten zeitgenössischen roten Ganzledereinband mit königlicher Provenienz. Mit 3 Bll. Widmung an Ernst August. - Carl Heinrich Brockmann (1808-1888) promovierte 1829 mit der Dissertation "De mydriaticis" an der Universität Göttingen. Ab 1832 war er als Bergphysikus und ab 1839 als Hofmedikus tätig. Es folgten 1853 die Ernennung zum Medizinischen Rat und 1875 zum Kreisphysikus. In seinen letzten Lebensjahren füllte er die Position des Geheimen Sanitätsrats aus. - Das vorliegende Werk beschäftigt sich sehr detailliert mit den im Bergbau auftretenden Krankheitsbildern. Dabei unterscheidet Brockmann beispielsweise zwischen Krankheiten von Pocharbeitern, Bergmännern und Silberhüttenmännern. Im letzten Teil widmet er sich der Prophylaxe der metallurgischen Krankheiten. - Etwas gebräunt. Wohl erhalten. Superb red full leather with gold and silver stamped fillets, rich gold stamped borders in rocaille style, gold stamped crowned initials on front cover and crowned coat of arms on back cover. Gold stamped floral ornamentation and title on spine. Standing and inner edge fillets, gilt edges (somewhat spotted, minimally rubbed). - Titlepage with the library stamp of Ernst August of Hanover (1771-1851) on reverse. Lavishly bound in a richly gilt contemporary red full leather binding of royal provenance. With 3 fol. dedication to Ernst August. - Carl Heinrich Brockmann (1808-1888) received his doctorate in 1829 with the dissertation "De mydriaticis" at the University of Göttingen. From 1832 he worked as a mountain physicist and from 1839 as a court physician. This was followed by his appointment as Medical Councillor in 1853 and as District Physician in 1875. In the last years of his life he filled the position of Privy Medical Councillor. - The present work deals in great detail with the clinical symptoms occurring in the mining industry. Brockmann distinguishes, for example, between the illnesses of miners, arsenic workers and silver smelters. The last part is devoted to the prophylaxis of metallurgical diseases. - Somewhat browned. Well preserved.

Sammlung aus 3 handkolorierten und mit Gouache gehöhten Kupferstichen mit Blumensträußen. Wohl Frankreich, 19. Jh. Je circa 30 x 22 cm (45,5 x 30 cm). Je unter Passepartout montiert und dekorativ unter Glas gerahmt. Rückseitig je mit Signatur in Tinte "Lamberg" (?) sowie Stempel in Form einer Weinrebe. - Die zugleich filigranen und prächtigen Stiche erinnern an die Kompositionen des französischen Künstlers Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer (1634-1699), insbesondere an sein berühmtes Werk Le Livre de toutes sortes de fleurs d'après nature. - Altersbedingt sehr zart gebräunt. Insgesamt sehr gut erhalten und in farbfrischem Zustand. Anonymous artist. Set of 3 hand coloured and gouache heightened copper engravings with bouquets of flowers. Probably France, 19th c. Each mounted under passepartout and framed under glass. - Each with signature in ink "Lamberg" (?) and stamp in the shape of a vine on the reverse. - The at the same time filigree and splendid engravings remind of the compositions of the French artist Jean-Baptiste Monnoyer (1634-1699), especially of his famous work Le Livre de toutes sortes de fleurs d'après nature. - Very delicately browned due to age. Overall very well preserved and in colour-fresh condition.

Blattmaße von ca. 76 x 54 cm bis ca. 76 x 95,5 cm. Überwiegend mit Wasserzeichen "T. Dupuy Fin, Auvergne 1742". Recto und verso bis auf 1 Bl. im äußeren weißen Blattrand mit diversen Stempeln (alle nicht bei Lugt). Recto je mit schwarzem preussischen Adler und Inventarnummer sowie mit rotem Wappen. Verso je mit späterem roten preussischen Adler, blauem Doublettenstempel "Exm. Dubl." und Inventarnummer. - Enthält eine Vielzahl der monumentalen Kupferstiche nach Gemälden der Sammlung aus dem prachtvollen Galeriewerk, welches ab 1753 in drei Teilen erschien. Darunter Blätter nach Werken von Veronese, del Sarto, Corregio, Tizian, Tintoretto, Reni, A. Carracci, Ribera, van Dyk und Rembrandt. Desweiteren eine Gebäudeansicht "Vue du Batiment de la Galerie Royale de Dresde" ebenfalls aus der Folge. - Teils etwas gebräunt und leicht fleckig. Einige Bll. mit Randläsuren und geglätteten Falzen. Insgesamt wohl erhalten. Dubl." and inventory number. - Contains a large number of monumental copper engravings after paintings of the collection from the magnificent gallery work, which was published in three parts from 1753. Among them prints after works by Veronese, del Sarto, Corregio, Titian, Tintoretto, Reni, A. Carracci, Ribera, van Dyk and Rembrandt. Furthermore a building view "Vue du Batiment de la Galerie Royale de Dresde" also from the set. - Partly somewhat browned and slightly stained. Some pages with marginal tears and smoothed folds. August Wilhelm Schlegel. Eigehänder Brief mit Original-Unterschrift. (1817). Mit Blindsiegel und Adresse. Schmaler Trauerrand. Etwas knittrig. Bugfalte eingerissen (ausgebessert). Verso Sammlerstempel An den Maler Wilhelm Ternite, der als preußischer Kommissar in Paris die Rückführung der Sammlung Giustiniani betrieb, die während der napoleonischen Kriege verschleppt worden war. "Sie würden mir einen großen Gefallen erzeigen, . wenn Sie . mit mir eine Sammlung Italiänischer Gemälde besehen wollten. Ich wünschte Ihr Urtheil zu wissen. Die ungedruckten Blätter müssen ja nun wohl fertig geglättet seyn, ich möchte die beyden französischen Exemplare und die Ergänzung des meinigen gern so bald als möglich . haben. Und wie steht es mit dem Indischen Götzenbilde? ." Schlegel hatte in diesem Jahr in Paris seine indologischen Studien wieder aufgenommen. - Im Juli des Jahres war Madame de Sta�l gestorben, an deren Krankenbett Schlegel bis zum Ende ausgeharrt hatte. Auf der Plinthe monogrammiert mit F.B. und Gießereistempel "Werner Braun, Oberschleissheim". Vgl. Hugo Schmidt, Fritz Behn als Tierplastiker, S. 29. - Fritz Behn studierte an der Kunstakademie München und war dort Schüler von Wilhelm von Rühmann. Geprägt von seinen mehrmonatigen Afrika Reisen beschäftigte er sich insbesondere mit der Abbildung von Tieren, welche ihm auch internationale Anerkennung brachten. Monogrammed with F.B., foundry stamp "Werner Braun, Oberschleissheim". - Fritz Behn studied at the Munich Art Academy, where he was a student of Wilhelm von Rühmann. Influenced by his several months of travels in Africa, he was particularly concerned with the depiction of animals, which also brought him international recognition.

Art Déco - - Sammlung von 80 Original-Entwürfen überwiegend für Art Déco und Jugendstil Mobiliar. Um 1905-1928. Verschiedene Techniken, überwiegend Feder, Graphit und Aquarelle. Blattmaße von ca. 27 x 17 cm bis 66 x 50 cm. Der Großteil der kunstvollen und meist farbprächtigen Entwürfe stammt von Alfred Kemnitz aus den Jahren 1927-28. Einige wenige tragen den Stempel der Berliner Tischlerschule. Desweiteren signierte Blätter von Karl Balz und H. Schrichting. Die Sammlung umfasst neben Ansichten komplett eingerichteter Räume einige Entwürfe u.a. für Ladentüren, Schlafzimmermobiliar, Regale, kunstvolle Schränke, Standuhren und Stühle. Oftmals mit Grundrissen und Maßstabsangaben. Neben den Entwürfen auch einige Studienblätter mit geometrischen Skizzen und Zeichnungen von Mobiliar aus früheren Jahrhunderten. - Teils mit Mittelfalz. Papierbedingt etwas gebräunt. Einige wenige mit Randläsuren und kl. Anschmutzungen. Insgesamt gut erhalten und farbleuchtend. Collection of 80 original designs mostly for Art Deco and Art Nouveau furniture. Various techniques, mainly pen and ink, graphite and watercolours. - The majority of the artistic and mostly colourful designs are by Alfred Kemnitz from the years 1927-28. A few bear the stamp of the Berlin School of Carpentry. Furthermore, there are signed sheets by Karl Balz and H. Schrichting. In addition to views of completely furnished rooms, the collection includes several designs for shop doors, bedroom furniture, shelves, ornate cabinets, grandfather clocks and chairs, among others. Often with floor plans and scales. Besides the designs also some study sheets with geometrical sketches and drawings of furniture from earlier centuries. - Partly with centrefold. Paper somewhat browned. A few with marginal tears and small soiling. Altogether well preserved and brightly coloured.
