1934 1d black and emerald, corner marginal block of fifteen (5 x 3) from the lower left of the sheet showing part imprint and plate number '1', the upper right stamp [R.4/5] with 'Teardrops' flaw (SG 22a) a few green ink spots close to the variety and the three stamps in the vertical row at right affected by natural gum skips, usual brownish gum and three stamps (incl the variety) lightly hinged, an attractive positional multiple, cat £150+
Postal Stationery: 1931 2m blue and 3m yellow-green newspaper wrappers (Higgins & Gage ½), each with machine printed 'SPECIMEN' overprint (49mm x 7.5mm) in black, also with 'SPECIMEN' h/stamp in violet (22mm x 2.5mm) which is believed to have been applied by the St Martins-le-Grand GPO authorities when the items arrived in London, each folded once horizontally but most uncommon
