Richard Avedon 'The Beatles' 1968 Stern Magazine Posters Set of four (4) distributed in Europe by "Stern" magazine, described as 'Flame Bright John', 'Flower Power Paul', 'Mystic George' and 'Dove Loving Ringo', each have the PPP stamp, and measure 19"x27", presented in black frames (framed)N.B. In 1967 The Beatles company "Nems" contracted Richard Avedon to design a set of posters that would visually capture the new psychedelic direction of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Magical Mystery Tour, "Nems" gave the distribution rights to different outlets in different countries, Stern in Europe, Daily Express in the UK and Look in the US, the set originally came with a fifth poster, a black & white banner poster of the band which became known as the Mount Rushmore poster, an example of the full Stern set is held in the collection of the V&A Museum, London.CONDITION REPORTCame from private seller
