Streeter copy of this scarce work, with the first description of Charnières' lunar measuring device.
India.- [Voltaire (François Marie Arouet de)] , Fragments sur l'Inde, et sur le Général Lalli, title with woodcut floral ornament, woodcut tail-pieces, ink collector's stamp to title, 9th century calf-backed marbled boards, gilt arms to foot of spine, 8vo, [?Lausanne], no printer, 1773.⁂ Voltaire's account of India, including the French colony of Pondicherry, and an account of Thomas Arthur, Comte de Lally, who was Governor-General of French India and lost Pondicherry to the British.

Wright, at Holyrood-Ampney; and sold by the booksellers in town and country, 1755.⁂ A rare provincially printed work, which includes the weather, eclipses, measurement of timber, and medical matters. ESTC records only 4 copies.
