Lot 2113

A Montblanc Starwalker Black Mystery Rollerball Pen, Numbered GU1023064, the black resin body heightened with white metal bands, the detachable cap with clear resin finial enclosing the Montblanc logo, in fitted case and with outer cardboard box and original service guide numbered GU1023064, the case 19.5cm wide Provenance: The Pen Shop, Thorntons Arcade, Leeds, November 2010.. There are some very minor scratches to the resin body and the gilt-mounts. There are also some areas of minor corrosion to the mounts. The pen is not currently fitted with a cartridge so it is not possible to confirm if it functions properly, though the pen has been used in the past. There are some scuffs to the leather case. The information page at the back of the Service Guide notes the product, individual number, date and with retailers stamp.

Lot 2133

A Sapphire Bracelet, eleven graduated oval cut and cushion cut sapphires centrally terminating to yellow gate links at either side, length 16.5cm see illustration . The bracelet is in poor condition, one length of the chain is detached/loose. It fastens with a V-snap and box catch and features a safety chain which is snapped and a figure-of-eight safety catch. It bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. The sapphires are included when viewed via a loupe and can also be seen by the unaided eye but the sapphires are lively. The largest sapphire measures 7.00mm x 4.5mm x 3.4mm approximately. Gross weight 6.8 grams. CR made 17.01.20

Lot 2134

A Victorian Mourning Brooch, of yellow circular form with a domed centre within a ropework border, to a frame decorated with trefoil detail to an outer bead border, with a hairwork locket to the reverse, measures 3.7cm diameter; and A Scarab Beetle Brooch, formed of a trefoil of green scarab beetles, in yellow claw settings, measures 3.3cm by 3.3cm see illustration . Both pieces are in fair condition. Both fasten with a pin and hook catch and the mourning brooch features a safety chain. The mourning brooch bears no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. The scarab beetle brooch is stamped '9CT' and in our opinion would test as gold. Gross weight 17.6 grams. A Victorian Diamond Brooch, an old cut diamond within a yellow star setting, to a ropetwist and bead border, estimated diamond weight 0.20 carat approximately, measures 3.4cm diameter; and Two Smaller Victorian Diamond Brooches, of similar design, total estimated diamond weight 0.10 carat approximately, measure 1.9cm diameter see illustration . All pieces are in fair condition with dings throughout. The larger brooch appears to be lacking a locket compartment to the reverse. The two smaller brooches are likely to have been adapted. The larger and one of the smaller brooches fasten with a pin and hook catch, the other smaller one with a pin and revolver catch. They bear no hallmark nor stamp but in our opinion would test as gold. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity I1/I2/I3. Gross weight 18.0 grams. CR made 27.07.20.

dating: Late 16th Century provenance: Germany, Smooth-bore, two-stage, 16 mm cal. barrel, with wide moulding faceted at the girdle, octagonal in the first part, round in the second, with Saxony stamp, monogram 'HR', date '1591' and engraved ends; smooth and curved tang. External wheel lock, provided with sliding snap pan cover, cock and spring chiselled and engraved, safety lock. Blackened wooden, full stock (small restores) decorated with bone plates, engraved with faces (around the tang) and floral motifs. Spherical butt-plate with round plate, engraved with Saxony royal coat-of-arms; iron trigger-guard, wooden ramrod with restored tip and iron base. Rare and interesting pistol. For personal guard of Princes of Saxony Christian I and II. length 54 cm.

dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Milan, Four, smooth-bore, turn-off, 12 mm cal. barrels, in damask, on a rolling block, with pistons in line and Liege test-bed stamp. Frame of almost cylindrical shape, engraved with rinceaux and rear cartouche with signature 'CALABRESI A MILAN'. Central band of the grip engraved en suite. Ebony grip scales with veining and small part missing. Some pitting. Ring-trigger, lower hammer, in working order. length 23,3 cm.

Lot 286

dating: late 17th Century provenance: Ottoman Empire, Slightly curved, double-edged blade, in damask, with central raiser and with four grooves, a flat rectangle at the forte on both sides, with remains of gold decorations. Grip with dark, wooden grip scales, decorated in the central band and with twenty one, silver, engraved flowers. Wooden scabbard, completely covered with silver foil, with fantastic, nielloed, floral decorations and with remains of gilding. Front part with five facets, the central with Arabic inscriptions in bass-relief on a golden ground, inside the two cartouches, divided by a flower. The two lateral facets, apparently smooth, are actually decorated with filigree floral motifs and arabesques, external bands with flowers in bass-relief on a grained ground. Relieved ends, cap with braided bands, decorated with nielloed and engraved pendants, chape with a turban-pommel, decorated en suite and with remains of gilding. Faceted button. Smooth back part, engraved and nielloed with floral motifs and with a stamp (Tughra). Suspension ring. Daggers of this type are rarely found on the international market but it is really difficult to see a specimen with a nice scabbard like this. See similar specimen in 'Die Karlsruher Türkenbeute', Hirmer Verlag München, 1991. On page 202 there is a dagger with a similar blade and grip's shape (no. 148). Other specimens can be found in the Histoisches Museum Dresden, in the Livrustenkammaren in Stockholm, in the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna and in many other international museums and private collections.Literature: Stöcklein, 1914, page 139 fig. 32, Petrarch 1952, page 667. length 30.5 cm.

Brass, engraved trigger-guard. Butt-plate of Turkish style, in brass, with trophies in relief. Silver barrel bracket and muzzle ring with floral decorations. Iron ramrod. length 49 cm.

Smooth, six-shot cylinder, surface engraved with rinceaux en suite. In working order. Opening lever on the left side, engraved as well. Frame all engraved en suite with the barrel and cylinder. Some oxidation. External cock with internal firing pin. Wooden grip scales with milling (one with a small crack). Butt-plate with tightened ramrod. length 33 cm.

Almost straight-edged axe, with a big, brass-inlaid star decoration on one side. Rear fluke slightly curved downwards, with cylindrical lugs and with a fine, deeply marked and brass-inlaid stamp on the same side. Partially joined straps, counter-straps present as well. On a wooden shaft (antique?) with longitudinal grooves. height 202 cm.
