The Following lots are from the studio Gerald Judah Ososki, Russian/British 1903-1981 Gerald Judah Ososki was born in London of Russian parentage, studied at the St. Martins School of Art from 1917-1922, then at the Royal College of Art from 1922-1926 on the recommendation of his tutor Professor William Rothenstein 1872-1945 Gerald Ososki exhibited regularly at the Royal Academy from 1951-1973 He was a member of the Royal society of British Artists and was part of the Tate Gallery's "Seventeen Collectors Exhibition" , he was exhibited at the Leicester Gallery, The Mall Galleries, New English Art Club, Goupil Gallery and the Redfern Gallery Exhibited widely in the U.S.A, Canada and Australia. He was awarded the De Laszlo medal by the Royal Society of British Artists in 1972 Ososki's work is represented in several private collections including those of Lord Metheun RA, the late Duke Of Wellington and Sir Alexander Downer KBE During his lifetime the works ranged from watercolour studies in the grand tradition of the old masters, to bold compositions of a textural quality. Robert Sargent Austin RA RE RWS 1895-1973- "Reclining woman reading a newspaper; black and coloured crayon, bears studio stamp verso, 28x45cm: together with three other pencil and ink nude studies circa. 1915, each bearing the artists studio stamp, (4) (unframed) Note: Printmaker and draughtsman, born in Leicester. Studied at the Royal College of Art 1919-1922, winning the Rome scholarship for engraving. Was elected as a Royal Academician in 1949, President of the Royal Watercolour society in 1956 and President of the Royal Society of Painter-Etchers in 1962. The Tate Gallery holds his work. Ralph Steadman b.1936- "Service and Satisfaction"; pen and black ink, original artwork illustration for publication, bears artists ink stamp verso and dated 12/9/61, 12.5x14.5cm, (unframed) Note: Ralph Steadman had a long partnership with the American journalist Hunter S Thompson drawing pictures for several of his articles and books. He accompanied Thompson to the Kentucky Derby for an article The Kentucky Derby is Decadent and Depraved for the magazine Scanlan's, to the Honolulu Marathon for the magazine Running, and illustrated both Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72. Much of Steadman's artwork revolves around caricatures of Thompson's Bucket Hats, Cigarette Holder and Aviator Sunglasses. (may be subject to Droit de Suite)
A late Victorian rectangular tray embossed in high relief with acanthus floral scrolls with butterfly's and birds, central vacant cartouche. Length measures 12 1/2 inches (32cm), weight 14.44ozt (449.2gms). Hallmarked Mappin Brothers London 1899. The tray is in good condition. There are surface scratches and shallow dents to the whole. There are two large patches of discolouration: on the top on the right hand side; and underneath in a panel down the middle. There is a split in the silver on the edge of the tray, and a build-up of solder underneath it where it seems a repair has been attempted. The central cartouche appears to have had a piece of a silver applied over the top, possibly to cover an engraving. On the underside of the cartouche is a stamp which reads 'MAPPIN BROTHERS 66 CHEAPSIDE. E. Co. 220 REGENT St. Wv. [?]', and the number '322550 [?]'. The hallmark is clear and unrubbed.
George V waiter of circular form, with raised moulded scroll shell rim, central vacant cartouche with foliate scroll surround, raised on three turned feet. Maximum diameter measures approximately 6 1/2 inches (16cm), weight 5.42ozt (168.6gms). Hallmarked William Hutton & Sons Ltd, London 1910 The salver is in generally very good condition. There are minor surface scratches to the whole, with a few more serious ones to the top. There are areas of tarnishing, especially around the edge on the underside. The engraved decoration is clear and only very slightly rubbed. The salver is slightly bowed and has some shallow dents, but stands steadily and does not wobble. The sponsor's mark and hallmark are easily legible. There are some small areas of wear on the bottoms of the feet. On the underside is a small cross-hatched stamp mark.
A George V beaker of plain tapered form with personal presentation engraving, flared lip and circular stepped foot. Height measures 4 inches (10cm), weight 7.65ozt (237.8gms). Hallmarked Mappin & Webb London 1914. The beaker is in excellent condition. There is minor surface scratches and slight tarnish to the whole, but no serious damage. The presentation engraving is clear and unrubbed, and reads 'Edward Claude Arthur Cane From His Aunt Ruth'. The hallmark and 'MAPPIN &WEBB Ltd.' stamp are clear and easily legible.
Continental white metal electroformed basket, the body with a figurative country scene in high relief with fruiting vine motif handle, raised above a circular footed base. Height including handle 20 inches (40cm), weight 36.41ozt (1132.5gms). Marks to the base. There are surface scratches to the whole, and large areas of tarnish. Some of the detail of the decoration has been worn away, but the majority of it is clear and in reasonable condition. The basket stands slightly unsteadily. The handle is bent to one side a little. The inside of the basket is badly discoloured, has some build-ups of polish, and is quite dirty. There are two marks on the base: a stamp of a windmill with a pipe either side; and the number 3716.
George III Irish condiment fiddle pattern spoon with gilt bowl, hallmarked Dublin 1819, sponsors mark reads IS. Together with a bright cut engraved stamp holder marked sterling and a boxing medal marked Phillips Aldershot and hallmarked Birmingham 1918, sponsors mark reads F.P. Also together with a selection of items to include an Edwardian cigar mouth piece holder, length measuring 2 1/2ins (6.5cm), an early twentieth century vesta case with acanthus bright cut engraving, a bud vase height measuring 4ins (10.5cm), hallmarked Birmingham 1978, a miniature photo frame, a dressing table jar, a spoon and pusher set a condiment spoon and nail file.
Mid to late nineteenth century Austro-Hungarian Renaissance style silver gilt, garnet, green stone, blister pearl and enamel pendant with blister pearl and cherub suspender leading to a central female figure surrounded by gem set, mother of pearl and enamel decoration leading to two blister pearl droppers and enamel termination, and a matching necklet of sixteen floral panels with a garnet and green stone central cluster surrounded with enamel floral detail. Pendant dimensions 10cm by 5cm. Necklet length 39cm (15 inches). With fitted case (AF). In good to fair general condition. The silver pendant is showing wear and tear and gilt effect only really visible to the decoration at the back of the pendant. The suspended termination is missing what should be probably another blister pearl. Some gem set detail on one side of the pendant is loose. Some of the stones are missing and not all match, a lot of the enamel detail is worn or chipped. The necklet is in better condition, it has a coffin shaped stamp to necklet clasp but is fairly worn, also stamped NA. On some of the panels the enamel detail is chipped, the metal is showing wear and tear, clasp in working order. The leather fitted case is damaged and in two parts, black velvet inner and silk inner worn and silky material has split.
A silver Scandinavian style oval abstract floral design brooch. Length-5.3cms, Width-4cms. Weight-7.50 grams. Makers stamp to the reverse-CFO. The brooch is in generally good condition. There are minor scratches to the silver, wear and tear. There is some blackened tarnishing to the detail of the brooch. The bar appears as though it may have been replaced and doesn't fit well into the clasp. The makers mark is nice and clear.
TIFFANY & CO./ELSA PERETTI-A pair of silver bean design clip on earrings. Weight-15 grams. Length-2.3cms, width-2cms. The earrings are in generally good condition. There are noticeable scratches to all of the silver, wear and tear, there are also sections of noticeable tarnishing. The Tiffany and Co stamp is a little worn to each earring, however legible. The clip on backs are nice and secure.
DAVID ANDERSON, NORWAY-A silver rectangular scroll and floral design brooch, with a vacant centre (length-3.7cms, width-2.2cms) and a rectangular Norwegian brooch depicting men at sea (stamped to back O.B.I Tinn Norway). Length-5.5cms, width-3.4cms. The David Anderson brooch is in generally good condition, there are minor scratches to the silver, wear and tear. The silver is quite tarnished to the silver, it is quite blackened in places. The bar is in good condition. The other brooch is in generally good condition to the brooch. There are some quite serious scratches to the back of the brooch, the front scene appears quite tarnished, the back stamp is nice and clear. The bar is a little loose.
Five items to include an ivory and cut steel hand design clip, a banded agate and metal stamp, a chalcedony set retractable pencil, an ornately decorated eye glass and one other item. In good to fair condition. The ivory clip is showing signs of ageing and discolouration and is in need of a good clean, two of the fingers have chipped, measures 10cm in length. The eye glass could again do with a clean, the metal decoration is showing some wear and tear and the glass is a little loose in the setting, measures approximately 7.5cm. The stamp metal is showing wear and tear and discolouration, the agate is a little loose at the base and the agate handle has some external cracks to it, measures approximately 7cm in length. The pencil is engraved with E from L to the centre, the metal is showing some wear and tear and discolouration, length 5.5cm, the stone at end has slipped in setting and pencil has a loop to centre. The other item appears to be a broken perhaps stamp and is showing wear and tear and some of the gold colour metal has worn away-length 4.5cm.

An early 20th century 18ct gold circular hinged photo locket, with a central raised initial monogram and interior photo/hair panel. Weight-16.3 grams, diameter-2.9cms. Generally fair condition. The back of the locket has lots of small dents, these are easily noticeable, there are general scratches to all of the gold, wear and tear. The front hinge is slightly broken and would need attention. The makers stamp and date letter are a little rubbed to the inner case and the front panel is a little loose. There is a photo inside the locket and two locks of hair.
A diamond cluster ring with a central oval panel of nine diamonds and eight cut diamond set curved design shoulders. Estimated total diamond weight-0.50cts. Generally good condition. There are minor scratches to the ring shank, wear and tear. There is what appears to be a continental stamp to the outside back of the ring, these stamps are worn. All of the diamonds appear generally bright. Ring Size UK-Q, US-8.25.
