A COLLECTION OF TWENTY-EIGHT 19th CENTURY EDUCATIONAL BANNERS PRINTED FOR THE WORKING MEN'S EDUCATIONAL UNION, all relating to Ancient Egypt, printed in colours on cotton calico, most bearing stamp "Published by Working Men's Educational Union 43 Skinner Street, Snow Hill, London 1852". Each approximately 90cm by 116cm. Note: The Educational Union was a philanthropic society dedicated to the education of the working classes. Many organisations provided facilities for the Union to stage lectures for which these banners provided the illustrations. The use of cotton cloth was adopted to avoid paper duty.
