A Royal Crown Derby two-handled vase and cover circa 1897 by Desire Leroy, signed, of flattened campana form, painted with a colourful bird standing on grass within a landscape, to the reverse bagpipes crossed by a quiver and arrow with flowers, each within elaborate tooled and raised gilt scroll reserves and turquoise blue borders against a cobalt-blue ground, the foot with gilt leaf moulding and enamelled turquoise panels with gilt motifs, a scalloped turquoise collar to the neck, flanked by gilt acanthus leaf handles, the cover with leaf-moulded knop red-printed factory mark and date cypher with TIFFANY & Co. NEW YORK retailer's stamp, pattern 5778 shape number 1185 JD monogram possibly for gilder John Joseph Dale 20.3cm., 8in. high cover restored, handle re-gilt (2)
