Wooden scabbard, completely covered with silver foil, engraved and nielloed, on the right side above Ulysses with a bow and arrow in his hand, with a bandeau featuring a short inscription in Greek, an arm trophy at his feet; central part with a lion with a collar, trophy and deer; lower part decorated with a double eagle and floral motifs; opposite side with a star and floral motifs in the upper segment, a hunter in the forest in the center, pointing with a long flintlock rifle the two deer, a marine monster and bird below, divided by floral motifs. Two suspension rings. length 79 cm.

The blade is held to the tang by the two, iron plates and fixed with three rivets. Plates adorned with gold-inlaid inscriptions. Cylindrical, iron shaft, completely covered with silver foil (very small parts missing), adorned with smooth rings, alternated with other with Greek frets. Central grip, with iron guard, silver-inlaid as well, outlined with two, thick knots and hemmed with floral frames. Mushroom-shaped haft foot. With wooden scabbard, covered with green velvet (partially worn), provided with silver chape and cap, both pierced. The cap with articulated and pierced pendant. length 102,8 cm.

dating: Early 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Elegant, strong and slim, curved, single-edged blade in wootz damask of high quality, of triangular section with slightly convex facets, convex back, very well preserved. With two cartouches, chiselled and inlaid at the forte on the right side, signed in Arabic. Rare and refined quillon in gilded silver, with straight quillons ending in buds, thin langets; the surface carved in relief to imitate the interweaving of ropes and nails. Quillon with remains of stamps on both sides at the border of langets holding the grip. Horn grip scales, curved pommel with back with raisers, with a hole and central band in gilded silver, engraved with a net and stamped. Complete with its original, wooden scabbard, covered with black leather, stitched in metallic wire on the back. Gilded, silver mounts, decorated in relief to imitate interweaving of ropes and nails. Not clearly visible marks on bands and chape, the cap with Tughra mark, very well readable and marked, present on one side, next to the lower frame. The two bands both provided with a lug (also these rings are marked!). length 96 cm.

Forte without fullers but richly gold-inlaid, with two cartouches on the right side, with inscriptions in Arabic, a cartouche on the left side, similar to the others but smaller and with a spiral weave. Other small, gilded decorations on the back and next to the quillon, at the beginning of the false edge. Brass quillon, with straight, cusped quillons and thin langets, engraved with frames and undulated dots. Brown, horn grip scales with a hole at the pommel. Brass central band of the grip, engraved with rinceaux. Wooden scabbard covered with antique leather, stitched with brass thread. Brass mounts, with frames en suite with the quillon and engraved with trophies and drums. length 80 cm.
