A silver handled dagger, cast as three standing figures dressed in period costume, two in an embrace, the cross guard with scroll terminals and cast to the centre on one side with a vacant cartouche within a coiled snake, and on the other an open book and feather within a coiled snake, having a 17cm steel blade, the shagreen covered scabbard with leafy scroll chased mounts, 27.5cm long.Illustrated
