A very decorative officers sabre with gilt brass decorated hilt similar to the French Dragon 1854 model, complete with bullion sword knot. Leather covered grip with copper and brass binding. Unusual slightly curved blade with clipped point. 88 cm apx. Marked Weyersburg and Soligen. Single edged, becoming double towards the point. One large fuller and a second narrow one. Overall length of sword 103 cm apx. Very good condition. Together with its steel scabbard which has two suspension rings. Good condition. Two service dents.
Sidearm in the style of those used by the Third Reich Feuerwehren (fire department). Nickel plated, saw-backed blade with single fuller. 19 cm length apx with makers mark WKC (Weyersberg, Kirchbaum and Companie). The cross-piece, reversed quillons and pommel are all plated. Chequered black plastic grips secured by two rivets. O/l 32cm apx.. Complete with scabbard black leather frog and silver bullion knot. Sidearm in excellent condition, scabbard etc with service wear.
