A presentation Jambiya from the Sultan of Oman to Mr Schroedter dating: third quarter of the 20th Century provenance: Oman Typical, simple, curved, double-edged blade with raiser at the center; "T"-shaped, horn grip with smooth, silver hilt and vermail band with engravings and fretwork; wooden scabbard completely covered with gilt-silver inlays, engraved and partially pierced with floral motifs; clutch with rings and silver wires. Polychromye, cloth belt. This Jambiya was given by the Sultan of Oman Quabus Bin Said Al Said to Mr Alfred Schroedte who enhanced the family medicine sector in Oman, at the end of the last Century. Thanks to this outstanding venture, he also received a house and to flats. In one of his letters (provided with the Jambiya), Schroedter tells about his friendship with the Sultan, the Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and the king Fahad.
