L.I.), the medals handsomely mounted and framed for display with photographs of the recipients; also with box and case of issue, dress ribbons, Chancery letter, certificates and ship photograph; together with Third Reich, 2nd Model Navy Dagger, maker Carl Eickhorn (stamped squirrel holding sword), off-white celluloid-over-wood grip with eagle/swastika pommel and fouled anchor crossguard, original (though frayed) aluminum portepee in correct reef knot tie, etched plated blade, brass lightning bolt pattern scabbard, in original uncleaned condition. Force - 1917-'

BUTCHER, SHEFFIELD, with 9in. clip-pointed blade signed at the forte and engraved on one side with a stag being hunted by two hounds and a mounted huntsman in Western costume, the portrait bust of a man named 'OLD ZACK', a 'LIBERTY' cap, and a ribbon bearing the legend 'CALIFORNIA HUNTING KNIFE', German silver guard and grip, chequered hardwood grip-scales, one with silver plaque, the back-edge of the grip with folding pick, in original German silver mounted green leather covered scabbard, the leather tooled with traces of gilding in the pattern.
