A matched pair of decorative swords, each a curved single-edged steel blade with chiselled tendril panels to the upper end; wooden grip and bronze knuckle-guard with guilloche pattern; wooden scabbard with leather covering, brass chape, collar and mouth; one sword with suspension chain; appliqué below the mouth with temple(?) and fronds. 2.4 kg total, 87.5cm each (34 1/2"). Ivory grip, slightly enlarged in the center and ending in a horse's head, finely chiselled (one ear is missing and some veining). Provided at the base with mtal ring-nut pierced (small reparation on the back) and enriched with relieved floral decorations made of stones of various colors and glass paste, on the right side a bigger decoration, on the other one three, smaller flowers. Wooden scabbard covered with fabric generously embroidered with Paisley, with two, iron bands bearing traces of gilding and chain. length 77,3 cm.
