Circa 1680.

A Georgian Scottish blued and gilt dirk, 35cm double fullered blade by John Bell of Perth, blued and gilt along 95% of its length and decorated with scrolling foliage, a clan warrior, stands of arms and a crowned laurel wreath containing a thistle with a garter surround containing the motto NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSET the motto of the Royal Stuarts, the white metal mounted wooden hilt carved in the form of a serpent, the pommel set with a stone, contained in a re-leathered scabbard with associated knife and fork set.

A mid-18th Century Scottish dirk, 39cm fullered blade, double edged from the mid-point, characteristic wooden hilt boldly carved with basket weave and set with white metal studs, the high shoulders with white metal mounts, brass and white metal mounted disc pommel, wheel-carved to the underside, contained in its white metal mounted leather scabbard with tooled decoration over the whole, complete with companion knife and fork decorated to match.

A Georgian Scottish dirk, 35cm fullered blade, characteristic carved basket weave hilt set with copper studs, further decorated a stylised fleur-de-lis, copper wheel pommel, the lower mount engraved G Hunter Army Contractor Parl. Sqre. Edinburgh, contained in its engraved and pierced copper mounted scabbard, the upper mount incorporating a fleur-de-lis and the motto ICH DIEN, complete with companion knife and fork. Pommel and grip wormed, which will require restoration, leather worn and partly restored.

Blade grey and leather worn and parting, together with a reconfigured earlier dirk with 20cm blade, worn carved basket weave wooden hilt with brass mounted pommel set with white metal studs, contained in a tooled leather scabbard with clan crest and later chape. The crest bearing the motto Sperandum Est is that of the Wallace Clan. (2)

An early 20th Century etched Piper's dirk, 30.5cm blade by ROBT MOLE & SONS, Manufacturers Birmingham, etched with panels of scrolling thistles, various Ordnance stamps and dated 9 04, pitted, regulation wooden hilt carved with basket weave and set with white metal studs, the pommel with raised King's crown, contained in its white metal mounted leather scabbard, complete with bullion and leather suspension strap.

Two hall marked silver sgian-dubh, the first with 18.5cm fullered blade with faceted back edge, grey stained, characteristic carved wooden hilt decorated with basket weave, the pommel set with a stone, contained in its pierced Celtic strap work mounted leather scabbard, the upper mount hallmarked Edinburgh 1900 and bearing the maker's mark of TJ, together with another similar, later, also of silver and bearing maker's mark T.E. The former with pinned repair to pommel. (2)
