Cross guards are correct nickel type, with the lower guard being Gau stamped ‘Fr’ for region Franken. The good condition by Otto Simon of Steinbach maker marked blade measures 22 cm and is etched with the motto “Alles für Deutschland” (All for Germany), retaining much of its original black lettering finish. Sharpened blade edges, otherwise light wear. Refinished brown finish scabbard, retaining the leather hanger to suspension ring.

C.1800 British Volunteer Light Cavalry Officer’s sword & scabbard by Edward Loxham. Flat topped steel pommel (lanyard ring absent) with straight bar hilt, with engraved feather langets & quillon. Excellent ribbed ivory grip, solid & firm. The 63cm long slightly curved double fullered blade shows use and wear, with some light pitting spots, but generally good overall. The leather & brass scabbard retains both suspension rings with X impressed design to centre of leather face. Engraved dedication ‘Loxham Royal Exchange’ to reverse upper locket, with leather frog stud to reverse. All stitching present and scabbard very good overall. A good volunteer officer’s sword, rarely seen for sale. Overall length: 78 cm.

Very good brown enamelled scabbard shows some light crazing, matching numbered #482 to top chape, very good overall with large style leather uniform hanger. A very good example piece from the last year of dagger manufacturing during the war.

Scabbard is of steel construction, with single suspension ring.
C.1805 Royal Navy Midshipman’s dirk & scabbard, Napoleonic War era. Gilt finished lion mane pommel, with opposed gilt washed brass guard, with fouled anchor langet, the reverse plain. Hatched ivory grip, showing light use and natural colouring to both sides. 40cm long curved blade, showing 70% of blue and gilt engraved portions/colour, with usual wear and light fading. Blade fits snugly into the mid brown leather & gilt finished scabbard. No loss of stitching to rear seam, with ‘St. Andrews’ patterns to leather and hand engraved details to metal furniture. A very good conditioned piece & attractive wall hanger.
C.1850’s British Army 1822 pattern Infantry Officer’s sword & scabbard by W. Buckmaster & Co.Steel 3 branched guard, with plain quillon, bevelled urn pommel & half chequered backstrap. 80cm long, slightly curved steel blade shows etchings to both sides, with Scottish thistles, strung bugle, V.R. royal cypher & trophies of arms etc, with polished maker mark for W.Buckmaster & Co. London. Sharpened & lightly nicked edge to lower spear point, usual with field use. Leather service scabbard retains the toned metal drag, again usual with these campaign swords. Overall length: 102cm.

Leather scabbard shows twin brass lockets with twin suspension rings, lacking locking pin for locket, with light service wear to fully stitched leather body. Looks to be 1870’s era piece. A WW1 George V era 1827 Pattern Royal Naval Officer’s sword, scabbard & belt/hangers belonging to Rear Admiral Charles Farquhar-Smith, who was the senior naval officer in charge of Western Australia during the tragic loss of all hands aboard H.M.A.S. Sydney II in 1941 and was ultimately blamed for his failure to alert higher command of the disappearance of the ship. Gilt lion’s head pommel, with mane backstrap, ray skin grip with wire wrap and gilt brass guard, showing the fouled anchor & crown, with folding/locking langet. Full bullion knot is attached. 80cm long, straight nickel blade, shows etching to both sides of fouled anchors, royal crown etc, being in mint condition, numbered to spine 04565. Leather scabbard shows twin brass lockets with hand engraved panels, twin suspension rings, coming with full leather belt, by Gieves of London, hanger straps & gilt belt buckle. Blue fabric wound binding, with very good modern ray skin grip base, and silver gilt menuki and decorative pierced tsuba. Tang shows maker stamp for Kanemoto. 70.5cm long blade, shows modern silver habaki, full hamon to blade edge & distinct sanbonsugi temper line pattern to boshi, showing manufacture by Mogoroku Kanemoto. Modern lacquered scabbard included to complete this exceptional condition sword. Comes with comprehensive research paperwork, including NTHK certified certificate, showing tang photo, embossed & hand inked details in Japanese script authenticating the sword, maker & date. Tang shows stamps for manufacture by Toyokawa Arsenal, numbered 1017 & anchor stamp. Opposite side of tang looks to name the sword to Yama Guchi, 4th son of….. The 69 cm blade shows light scratch wear from use & in and out wear. The black lacquered wooden scabbard is in very good condition, with some crazing to finish, a couple of small service strikes with gilt finished suspension posts & fittings. Overall length: 96. Full field service laced grip cover over the fabric wound binding, with excellent ray skin grip base, triple gilded flower menuki and decorative pierced tsuba. Field grade Lieutenant tassel to pommel. Scabbard retaining working locking button. Tang shows stamps for Showa Period manufacture and smith details for Koketsu Kanetaka, resident of Seki in Noshu Provence. The 71 cm blade is in very fine condition, with full swirling hamon to edge. The brown scabbard is in very good condition & retains its full field service leather scabbard, with metal braced drag, with taped split and 13cm long stitching separation to cover. The 71 cm blade is in good used condition, showing some nicks to edge, slightly rounded kissaki. Ebony chiselled wooden grips, with brass thumb pointed guard. 81cm long, slightly curved thick steel blade, showing a slight curve 3/4/ way down blade from what looks like a combat strike. Blade fits well into the shellacked leather bound wooden scabbard, showing scabbard suspension rings/posts, with same blade strike point crack to one side of scabbard. Un-marked, yet typically late 1800’s made, with slotted bayonet ports for Cossack Cavalry. Generally very good throughout. Overall length: 96cm

WW2 Italian Navy Officer’s sword & scabbard. Gilt finished solid brass half basket guard, with Italian crown over a fouled anchor as a cartouche badge and a fold down clip to attach to the scabbard on the back edge. The brass backstrap pommel is a lion's head and mane with slightly worn white painted wooden grip, bound with brass wire. The 76cm long thin straight blade is etched to both sides with a floral pattern of trophies of arms, crowned eagle & naval scenes. Black enamelled metal scabbard is mounted with double embossed brass lockets with and naval anchor adorned drag. Overall length 93cm
C.1950’s Nepalese Ceremonial ‘Sacrifice’ Kukri. Large type Kukri, with bone & pewter adorned grip, with 90cm long spotless curved steel blade. Sharpened edge to blade. Large impressed leather covered wooden scabbard, with pewter diamond shaped base. Retains single skinning knife. These large pieces were used for ceremonial sacrifice of buffaloes for special occasions, much like the famous end of movie scene in ‘Apocalypse Now’. Heavy piece, overall length: 110cm. Gilt plated metal fittings, wire bound faux ray skin grip, full gilt fired pierced guard. 77cm long steel blade, with etchings to both sides & WEST AUSTRALIAN POLICE & 1788 BI-CENTENARY COMMEMORATIVE SWORD 1988 motto, Fabrica Bermeco Spanish maker marked. Engrave numbered 56 to blade spine. Comes with leather bound, gilt fired brass chaped steel scabbard. Comes with grey cotton sword bag, numbered 56, with card box also numbered 56. Sold in 1988 to serving WA Police officers in very limited numbers. Measures 92cm long. Only the 2nd example of this sword we have ever seen for sale, only 100 originally for sale in 1988

An unusual Samurai Sword having quatrefoil shaped Tsuba/hand guard, the fish skin grip having an uncommon style of neatly knotted net type of knotted cord wrap with three plaitted crimson cord bands and terminating with a stylised floral decorated pommel, complete with a leather scabbard having a simple brass swing ring, 39'' overall, the sword 37'' overall, the blade being 26 3/4'' long.
Belgian FN Bayonet captured in the Falklands War, stamped 22273 on scabbard and 04925 on grip, this bayonet was bought back from the Argentine surrender arms dump at Fox Bay by Marine J. Clark 40 Commando R.M. in 1982. Also included in the lot: a ceremonial Kukri stamped Nepal 2004, 1916 dated shell case, and a .308 clip and five inert rounds. Consisting of webbing waist belt, fitted with straps attaching Webley Pistol holster which is dated 1944, Browning pistol two magazine spare pouch, American Paratrooper issue M3 fighting knife with leather bound handle housed in its original US M8 B M Co scabbard with scratched details of original owner and rear cross straps. The items have various dates and manufacture details. The knife shows evidence of service wear with staining and sharpening to the blade. Very good equipment set of Airborne interest.
1930’s British Civil Full Court Dress Uniform and Sword of the Rt Hon Lord Wharton, fine quality black velvet tail coat jacket with cut glass circular buttons and quilted lining; black velvet breeches; white waistcoat, shoes, shoe buckles housed in leather fitted case, bicorn hat with rosette and metal chained insignia. Accompanied by the original court dress sword with cut and polished steel hilt with applied facetted studs, triangular plain blade and housed in the original scabbard with sword carry bag. Scabbard missing lower fitting. Set is all housed in the original japanned metal storage tin with brass plaque having owners name engraved.

Housed in its original gilt brass scabbard with two hanging strap ring bands. Attached to the scabbard via a gilt aluminium hanging strap clip is the Kriegsmarine officers blue cloth undress belt. Very good condition blade etched with foliage and anchors. Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark to the base of the blade. The blade measures 25cms, overall 42cms. Good untouched example.

Plain piped back blade with F W Holler, Solingen makers trade mark. Some surface staining to the blade. The blade measures 80cms, overall 94 ½ cms.
Third Reich SA Dress Dagger by Carl Eickhorn with Erased Rohm Inscription, good untouched example complete with its original brown wooden grip, eagle and enamel SA device set into the grip. Nickel silver top and lower cross guard mounts, reverse of the cross guard stamped “Ns”. Housed in the original scabbard with both top and bottom mounts. Blade retains much of the original polish and blackening to the motto, “Alles fur Deutschland”. Reverse side of the blade has small type Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark and clear signs of erasure of the Ernst Rohm dedication inscription. Blade measures 22cms, overall 37cms. Good untouched example.
Third Reich SA Dress Dagger by Carl Wusthof with Regimental Markings, good untouched example of a standard pattern SA dress dagger with brown wooden grip, nickel silver eagle and enamel SA device set into the grip. The lower cross guard and the top scabbard mount are stamped with regimental markings, “4/R 84 17984” and lower cross guard also stamped “Nm”. Dagger scabbard is in untouched condition with some surface rusting and a dent / kink. Double edged blade with motto, “Alles fur Deutschland”. Lower section of the reverse with makers trade mark for Carl Wusthof, Solingen. Some staining to the blade, which measures 22cms, overall dagger measures 37cms. Good untouched example by an unusual maker.
Third Reich Land Customs Officials Dress Dagger by WKC, being a fine transitional pattern example having aluminium top pommel, customs pattern cross guard and nickel silver scabbard mounts. Green leather covered grip with the original wire binding intact. The scabbard has green leather covering which has some scuffs and areas of wear / loss. Plain double edged blade with WKC makers trade mark to the base. The blade measures 26cms, overall 41cms.
