1907 pattern bayonet marked at the ricasso 'Lithgow 1919' with the Lithgow Star above a shield with 1907 within, indicating manufacture in the Lithgow Small Arms Factory New South Wales, Australia, with a metal bound leather scabbard with canvas belt loop. Straight fullered blade (L 43cm) with rounded spine. Ricassso also marked with two further Lithgow stars flanking an 'X'. Total Length drawn 55cm, in scabbard 58cm.
1897 Pattern Infantry Officer's sword with leather field scabbard. Straight blade (82cm) with half fuller channel, etched with scrolls and floral motifs and the motto 'Dum Spiro Spero' surrounding an 'S' as well as the maker's name - Henry Wilkinson - and the Fleur de Lys. Impressed number to spine 31963. Basket guard with cypher for Queen Victoria, wired shagreen grip and knurled metal backstrap. Overall length 97cm drawn, 103cm in scabbard.

Condition - ding in scabbard, round inlaid piece missing in blade, blade slightly kinked towards end, general wear throughout, Henry Wilkinson maker’s name is engraved on the blade.
