A FAIRBURN-SYKES COMMANDO DAGGER. Straight quillion type with 'Beads and Ribs blackened brass Hilt, complete with its scabbard. The blade just under 6.3/4" of darkened finish, the brown leather 'winged scabbard' has lost its elastic retainer at the frog. The hilt stamped with a broad arrow above a figure 1, at the crossguard.

Battle honours on the 32./12" length rust damaged blade on one side are Waterloo up to Hindenburg Line-France & Flanders 1918. On the other side is Namur 1695 up to the Peninsular. Initials on the blade are N D M, the hilt in exceptional condition with G-G badge inset. Complete with its brown leather field scabbard. See Illustration

A GRENADIER GUARDS OFFICERS LEVEE PATTERN SWORD. A Henry Wilkinson made Levee pattern officers sword number 12845, with steel plated scabbard present. The Grenadier Guards badge is inset in the guard, with brown leather sword knot affixed. Very clean blade of 31.1/2", having the makers name and a family crest above the ricasso decoration. Carried by the same Grenadier Guards officer, as in the previous lot.

A CHINESE SWORD. A Chinese Boxer War two-handed war sword C1900, with cleaver shape blade of 26.1/2" length. Rusty with dual fullers and bound hilt, finished in a ring pommel. 41.1/2" overall length it is lacking a scabbard.

A COURT SWORD AND CASED OFFICERS HAT. A Court Sword with gilt hilt and pommel, of a Spanish Nobleman or Diplomatic type with a rusted 29.3/4" tapering blade. Maker Jordana Principi Madrid, on the riccasso of the plated blade, with gilt mounted black leather scabbard. The ornate bicorn hat with chinstrap present, contained in a fitted wooden case. The shield in both the hilt and the hat buttons, are of a crown above with vertical divisions. On the hat button is Real Maeztranza de Caballiria de Zaragoza. A Noble Guild established for Cavalry Training, established in the 1500's. Royal Cavalry Armoury of Zaragoza..
