A World War Two (WW2) Era Nazi German S84/98 knife bayonet for Mauser K98 rifles by J. A. Henckels and leather frog. This is an original S84/98 bayonet made by J. A. Henckels Zwillingswerk. The scabbard is fitted with an original brown leather frog with single belt loop. All leather, stitching and rivets of the frog are intact. Estimate £80 - £120
A British 1888 Mark II Lee Metford Bayonet by Wilkinson and MK 1 Scabbard. This is an early Edwardian, Lee Metford 1888 Mark II bayonet manufactured for the British .303 calibre Enfield, Lee Metford rifle. The bayonet blade is in good clean condition, double edged and unfullered with a medial ridge running from the ricasso to the blade tip. The ricasso of the blade is also marked with an X and Wilkinson London. The grips are of wood, held together with two brass rivets. There is an oil clearance hole in both of the grips. The bayonet is contained in a standard 1888 MK 1 pattern scabbard and has a brown leather frog
A vintage Widder Hirschfanger hunting dagger. It is a 26 cm long stiletto blade and a clamshell for dispatching wounded game. The length of the blade insures that it reaches the vital organs and the clamshell deflects any blood splatter. The dagger is in overall really good used condition. The blade is still bright and shiny, but does show some age tarnish spots and some handling wear from use. The stag is in excellent, crack-free condition and is very tight. The ricasso is of the s shape with an acorn at each tip. The scabbard is leather and is in good shape. The entire length of the dagger is 36 cm. A rare World War One (WW1) German 1916 Trench Knife and Scabbard, manufactured by Hugo Koller, Solingen in 1916. The trench knife has a straight double edged blade and is marked with the trademark and name on one side. The knife has two piece ribbed wooden grips and is complete with it's original black painted steel scabbard. The blade length is 14 cm and the overall length is 26 cm, it is in good condition
An S98/05 German bayonet made circa 1915 by O Dietrich Altenburg. The bayonet has nine groove wood grips secured with two screw bolts. The steel pommel has a push release button which operates smoothly. The grip has a steel flash guard fitted. The polished steel blade is stamped with 'O Dietrich Altenburg'. The scabbard is the later metal version and brown leather frog. Estimate £100 - £150

Hamon [tempering pattern]: suguha, some ashi, Nakago [tang]: two mekugi-ana, kurijiri, Habaki [collar]: copper,Koshirae [mounting]: the scabbard of aogai togidashi maki-e [mother-of-pearl sprinkled designs revealed by polishing] with lacquer kurikata [retaining hook], gilt menuki of dragons, a pierced iron tsuba with chrysanthemums and leaves, inlaid gilt details, signed Echizen ju Kinai saku, iron fuchi-kashira with dragonflies, 63.5 cm. (blade); 90.6 cm. long (koshirae). The maker of the tsuba is the first generation of Kinai lived in Echizen Province. He was born in Omi Province then moved to Fukui of Echizen Province. He was active in the early Edo period and the family is famous for Kinai-bori and had thrived through the Edo period.
