A GEORGIAN OFFICER'S SABRE, 77cm blade etched and gilt with trophies of arms, Royal arms, GR cypher and foliage against a blued ground, copper gilt stirrup hilt, the pommel and backpiece engraved with a crowned lion and a trail of acorns and oak leaves, the langets embossed with lion's heads, wire bound ivory grip, contained in its linear engraved gilt mounted leather scabbard, the locket signed John Gloag & Co., Edinburgh, complete with fine gold bullion knot. A FINE 19TH CENTURY NORTH INDIAN KIRACH OR TULWAR, 82cm curved damascus blade chiselled with multiple fullers and a sword motif towards the tip, further decorated with a large panel of Quranic inscriptions, a small panel of calligraphy, a feline form within a circular border and celestial imagery, characteristic plated steel hilt with dished disc pommel finely chiselled with scrolling vines, foliate domed pommel, fine chequering to the underside of the pommel and grip, the crossguard, terminals and langets equally finely decorated with foliage and flowerheads, contained in its patterned cloth wrapped wooden scabbard.
AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY INDIAN SIKH TULWAR OR SWORD, 76cm sharply curved wootz damascus blade, characteristic gilt and silvered hilt with large disc pommel, domed foliate terminal, contained in its red velvet covered wooden scabbard with silver mounts, the chape finely finished with scrolling foliage. Velvet replaced.
A 19TH CENTURY WHITE JADE HILTED KHANJAR, 29cm clean wootz damascus blade with armour piercing tip, bright polish to blade, the tapering double fullers with exposed damascus grain and chiselled with a short inscription, characteristic hilt of white or mutton fat jade, contained in its velvet wrapped wooden scabbard. Paperwork accompanying the dagger lists the inscription as Urdu - Mahamray Sri Partap Singh, while not entirely accurate it perhaps should read Maharaja Sir Pratap Singh who was Maharaja of Jammu and Kashmir. Minor grey stain to tip now scrubbed, and ground chip to base of hilt.

A GOOD 19TH CENTURY OTTOMAN SILVER NIELLO KINDJAL, 37cm triple fullered blade struck with an elongated maker's mark above the forte, characteristic hilt finely decorated with scrolling foliage and flower heads, and the monogram of Sultan Abdul Hamid Khan Al-Ghazi, contained in its fine silver niello scabbard decorated with vignettes of Mosques and Palaces, Sultanahmet Camii - Sultan Ahmed - The Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia Mosque - The Byzantine Church Hagia-Sophia, Bayezid II Mosque, Ortokoy Camii Mosque, the reverse with We Have Granted Thee a Manifest Victory and further decorated with panels of calligraphy to include a poem by Imam Ali: I accepted what God has granted me, In the past I have delegated my fate to God and I am sure that God will look after me furthermore in the future, a further name Ibraheem Pash and the prayer Oh Allah, Your Lordship knows all what is hidden and what will happen in the future please help and protect us from what we fear.
