A pattern 1796 Light Cavalry Sabre in scabbard by Gill. The stirrup hilted guard with slot for sword knot near the plain pommel. Plain curved, flat backed, single edged blade is etched on the right side with the maker's name 'Gill's, Warranted' and on the left side engraved with the owner's name 'Wm. Boycott Donnington". The scabbard has two suspension rings and is also engraved with the owner's details as on the blade. Blade 32.5".

A pattern 1821 Volunteer Artillery Officer's Sword in Scabbard. Steel three bar guard with slot for sword knot near the pommel. Wood grip covered in black fishskin and bound with silver wire. The slightly curved, flat backed blade has a single fuller to each side to within 10.25 of the double edged spear point. The blade is etched over two thirds of its length with a foliate design. The right side of the blade is etched "VOLUNTEER ARTILLERY" and the left side with a flaming bomb and artillery piece. The left side of the ricasso is etched with the maker's name "FIRMIN & SONS, 153 STRAND, LONDON". Manufactured 1839. Steel scabbard with two suspension rings. Blade 32".

The curved blade has a broad fuller to each side and is engraved on the left side with the royal coat of arms and on the right side with the cipher of George III. The flat back of the blade is engraved J. Runkel Solingen". In steel scabbard with two suspension rings. Blade 31.75"
An Officer's Light Cavalry Sabre in steel scabbard. A variant of the 1796 Pattern light cavalry sabre, this blade has a broad single fuller to each side with a falchion type broadening of the blade to the last 9 which are double edged. The blade is engraved with the cypher and crown of George III on the right side and Prince of Wales feathers and motto to the left. Floral motifs are also engraved on the blade. The hilt is non-standard with a smooth wood grip bearing a gilded white metal shield to each side with the raised bust of a beaded figure in an Etruscan helmet probably Mars. The stirrup knuckle guard and lions head pommel bear the remains of gilding. Blade 31".
An Officer's Heavy Cavalry type sword. Straight, single edged blade with single broad fuller to each side. Blade engraved with trophies of arms and the crown and cypher of George III. Stirrup hilt with two curved knucklebars and ribbed, black wood grip. In steel mounted black leather scabbard with two suspension rings and a frog stud. The steel throat engraved "J. DEANNo. 4 STRAND". J Dean is noted at this address 1791-1803. Blade 31.75".
A Japanese Wakizashi. Sharkskin grip with black and brown tape binding. One menuki (ornament) to each side. Fuchi and kashira (collar and butt cap) cast with relief scaly dragon. Black lacquered wooden saya (scabbard), split. Tang has been shortened in its working life, now bearing the inscription Iwa mi (no) kami" indicating that it was manufactured in Iwami, probably in the late 18th or early 19th century. Blade 23.25". 33.25" long
