Consisting of webbing waist belt, fitted with straps attaching Webley Pistol holster which is dated 1944, Browning pistol two magazine spare pouch, American Paratrooper issue M3 fighting knife with leather bound handle housed in its original US M8 B M Co scabbard with scratched details of original owner and rear cross straps. The items have various dates and manufacture details. The knife shows evidence of service wear with staining and sharpening to the blade. Very good equipment set of Airborne interest.

1930’s British Civil Full Court Dress Uniform and Sword of the Rt Hon Lord Wharton, fine quality black velvet tail coat jacket with cut glass circular buttons and quilted lining; black velvet breeches; white waistcoat, shoes, shoe buckles housed in leather fitted case, bicorn hat with rosette and metal chained insignia. Accompanied by the original court dress sword with cut and polished steel hilt with applied facetted studs, triangular plain blade and housed in the original scabbard with sword carry bag. Scabbard missing lower fitting. Set is all housed in the original japanned metal storage tin with brass plaque having owners name engraved.

Cross guard with fouled anchors to each side with press button release. Attached to the grip is the original Kriegsmarine issue dress portopee. Housed in its original gilt brass scabbard with two hanging strap ring bands. Attached to the scabbard via a gilt aluminium hanging strap clip is the Kriegsmarine officers blue cloth undress belt. Very good condition blade etched with foliage and anchors. Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark to the base of the blade. The blade measures 25cms, overall 42cms. Good untouched example.

Folding front guard with anchor to the centre and rear catch stamped “0 3154”. Leather scabbard with brass mounts being riveted to the reverse. Small dents to the lower scabbard mount. Plain piped back blade with F W Holler, Solingen makers trade mark. Some surface staining to the blade. The blade measures 80cms, overall 94 ½ cms.

Third Reich SA Dress Dagger by Carl Eickhorn with Erased Rohm Inscription, good untouched example complete with its original brown wooden grip, eagle and enamel SA device set into the grip. Nickel silver top and lower cross guard mounts, reverse of the cross guard stamped “Ns”. Housed in the original scabbard with both top and bottom mounts. Blade retains much of the original polish and blackening to the motto, “Alles fur Deutschland”. Reverse side of the blade has small type Carl Eickhorn makers trade mark and clear signs of erasure of the Ernst Rohm dedication inscription. Blade measures 22cms, overall 37cms. Good untouched example.

Third Reich SA Dress Dagger by Carl Wusthof with Regimental Markings, good untouched example of a standard pattern SA dress dagger with brown wooden grip, nickel silver eagle and enamel SA device set into the grip. The lower cross guard and the top scabbard mount are stamped with regimental markings, “4/R 84 17984” and lower cross guard also stamped “Nm”. Dagger scabbard is in untouched condition with some surface rusting and a dent / kink. Double edged blade with motto, “Alles fur Deutschland”. Lower section of the reverse with makers trade mark for Carl Wusthof, Solingen. Some staining to the blade, which measures 22cms, overall dagger measures 37cms. Good untouched example by an unusual maker.

Third Reich Land Customs Officials Dress Dagger by WKC, being a fine transitional pattern example having aluminium top pommel, customs pattern cross guard and nickel silver scabbard mounts. Green leather covered grip with the original wire binding intact. The scabbard has green leather covering which has some scuffs and areas of wear / loss. Plain double edged blade with WKC makers trade mark to the base. The blade measures 26cms, overall 41cms.

Third Reich Hitler Youth Boys Dagger, with enamelled HJ diamond set within its black chequered grip. Housed in original black scabbard with leather belt loop attachment. The belt loop stamped to the reverse with LFS and oakleaf makers mark. The blade with RZM makers mark and motto “Blut und Ehre”. We are of the opinion that the blade is a post war representation placed inside the fittings of an original dagger. Sold as viewed.

Blade 77cms, overall 88.5cms. Good condition, leather well replaced, blade with a little moderate pitting cleaned bright, age cracks and some chips to grip.

Good Scarce 1788 Pattern Cavalry Troopers Sword of the Sussex (or Surrey) Light Dragoons, regulation blade sharpened for field service and stamped with a Government inspector’s mark, a crowned 1, regulation iron hilt with langets, gripstrap deeply engraved with the rack number B/11 and initials S.L.D., leather covered wooden grip, in its steel scabbard with twin hanging bands and rings, the top deeply engraved with the rack number B/11 and the initials S.L.D. Blade 90cms, overall 103cms. Good untouched condition. The Sussex (or Surrey) Light Dragoons were a Fencible Cavalry unit.

Ltd, CALCUTTA DELHI & SIMLA, gilt brass hilt mounts with foliage in relief, 2 piece foliate carved ivory grips (one chipped), bullion dress knot, gilt knuckle chain, in its blue velvet covered scabbard with elaborate gilt brass mounts pierced with flowers and foliage. Together with its gilt wooden label inscribed ‘Sword presented to General Mirrlees by the officers and men of the Artillery in India’. Blade 80cms, overall 93cms. Blade 89cms, overall 104cms. Good clean condition. Wilkinsons ledger confirm this sword was built May 1898 for N.C.Neilson.

Blade 82.5cms, overall 98.5cms. Good condition and age patina. Wilkinson’s ledger confirm that this sword was built 4.4.1863 and sold to J. E. Pawson. John Ellerton Pawson became a Captain in the London Rifle Brigade 21.3.1860.

Blade 82.5cms, overall 101.5cms. Good condition and age patina. This sword belonged to Captain R. D. Cheesewright, 4th Queens, Capt 1st V.B. 4.8.06, on Reserve 1911, Capt 11.9.14.

Good untouched condition, blade retains most of its original polish. Charles Smith is recorded at 12 Piccadilly from 1836 to 1859.

Wilkinsons confirm that this medium infantry sword was supplied 4.2.1873.

Scarce Victorian Regulation Honourable Artillery Company Officers Sword, straight double edged blade by Sherlock & Co, 15 King St, Covent Garden, London (recorded 1847-1887) etched and polished with HAC amidst profuse foliage, together with the owner’s initials “C.H.I.” retaining much original polish, regulation hilt of gilt brass and retaining much original gilding, applied silver grenade, retaining crimson and gold bullion dress knot, sharkskin covered grip bound with copper wire, in its leather scabbard with brass mounts retaining traces of original gilding. Blade 77.5cms, overall 92cms. Good untouched condition.

Victorian 1897 Pattern Royal Engineers Officers Sword Attributed to Sir Matthew Nathan CMG, KCMG, CB, blade by Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, No 36276 etched with crowned Royal Arms, regimental title, mottoes and device amidst scrolling foliage, together with the owner's initials M.N., regulation hilt and steel dress scabbard with some plated finish, fishskin covered grip with twisted silver wire. Blade 82.5cms, overall 100.5cms. Good condition, some age wear to plated hilt and scabbard. Wilkinsons ledger confirm that this sword was sold to Major M. Nathan 7.12.1898. Matthew Nathan R.E. Lieut 1880, Capt 1889, Maj 1898, Governor & C in C Sierra Leone 1900, Governor & C in C Gold Coast Colony 1900-1903, Governor and C in C Hong Kong 1903-1907, Governor and C in C Natal 1907-09, various Government appointments, Governor of Queensland 1920. British George V 1897 Pattern Royal Engineers Officers Sword by Henry Wilkinson No 59756, blade etched and polished with the crowned Royal Arms and regimental device all amidst scrolling foliage together with the owner's initials H.P.D., plated regulation guard, black fish skin covered grip bound with twisted nickel wire, in its field service leather scabbard. Blade 82cms, overall 98cms. Good untouched condition, retaining nearly all original finish overall, minor wear to edge of guard.

WW1 British 1897 Pattern Royal Engineers Officers Presentation Sword, Birmingham V.T.C 1915, blade by J R Gaunt & Son Limited, Late Thurkle London & Birmingham No 14344, etched and mirror polished with the crowned GVR cypher, the Royal Arms, Ubique within banner, laurel wreath, all within scrolling foliage, together with "PRESENTED TO LIEUT J. MARTIN, R.E. (T) BY THE OFFICERS AND MEN OF THE EAST B'HAM V.T.C. ON HIS RESIGNATION OF POSITION AS ADJUTANT OF THE CORPS NOVEMBER 1915" within a foliate panel, regulation hilt retains traces of plated finish, fishskin covered grip bound with twisted silver wire, in its leather field service scabbard. Blade 83.5cms. Good condition, blade retains much of its original polish, dark patina to hilt, an untouched sword.

Blade 87cms, overall 102.5cms. Very fine condition, the blade retaining virtually all its original polish.

Blade 88.5cms, overall 107.5cms. Good clean untouched condition. Wilkinsons ledger confirm that this sword was supplied to J.E. Holland, 7th Dragoon Guards in 1900. John Edmund Daniel Holland, 7DG, d.o.b. 15.12.79, 2nd Lt 23.5.00, Lt 13.5.01, Capt 4.7.08, to 5DG 10.6.14, Boer War QM with 5 clasps, WWI MID, MC, DSO 8.1.18.

Plated regulation guard and chequered gripstrap, black fishskin covered grip bound with twisted copper wire, in its plated dress scabbard. Blade 89cms, overall 109cms. Very good clean condition. Wilkinsons confirm that this ‘Cavalry sword, supplied to M.S. Cowley Esq in 1901’.

Late Victorian 1887 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Officers Undress Sword Belonging to Lieutenant (Later Lieutenant-Colonel) Alan William Berkley Spencer, 13th Hussars, later Tank Corps, who served with the 13th Hussars throughout the 2nd Boer War, being present at the battles of Spion Kop, Hussar Hill, Venter’s Spruit as well as the relief of Ladysmith. Afterwards serving in the First World War as a Lieutenant-Colonel in the Tank Corps. The sword made by Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, No. 38089, blade sharpened for field service, etched with crowned royal cipher, arms and foliage, and retaining some original polish overall, regulation pierced iron guard (cleaned bright), chequered grip strap, silver wire bound fish skin covered grip, in its leather field service scabbard. Blade 89cms, overall 104cms. Good condition, a little age wear and good patina overall. Alan William Berkley Spencer was born in 1876 and received a commission into the 13th Hussars as a 2 Lieutenant on the 15 May 1897, where he was promoted to a lieutenant just before departing to South Africa for the 2nd Boer War. He alongside his unit served in the Boer war, himself being involved in the following battles of Spion Kop, Hussar Hill, Venter’s Spruit as well as the relief of Ladysmith. During the First Wold War, Spencer was a Lieutenant-Colonel in the Army Reserve of Officers with the 13 Hussars before transferring with the same rank to the Tank Corps, where he served overseas with them from the 1 January 1916. For his First World War service, he was awarded the British War and Victory Medals, and the French Military order of Agriculture 5th Class. Little is known about Spencer’s service with the Tank Corps.

Post 1902 Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers Sword, blade by Henry Poole & Co, Savile Row, London W, etched and mirror polished with crowned fouled anchor, royal arms, RNVR and oak leaves, regulation gilt brass hilt with folding side guard, wire bound fish skin covered grip, bullion dress knot, in its leather scabbard with gilt brass mounts. Blade 80cms, overall 93cms. Good condition, minor stains to blade, some wear to gilding and leather overall, a clean sword.
