Lower part of scabbard repaired.
AN 1828 PATTERN 71ST OR HIGHLAND REGIMENT OF FOOT SCOTTISH BASKET HILTED BROADSWORD, 74cm fullered broadsword blade stamped with an Ordnance mark at the forte, regulation steel basket hilt composed of flattened rounded bars united by heart pierced junction plates, incised dome pommel, wire bound fish skin grip, the quillon stamped 71 over 2, contained in its steel mounted leather scabbard. Scabbard leather dried and a tight fit in the scabbard.

The pommel appears to be that of a 1796 Pattern Infantry Officer's sword.

AN EARLY 17TH CENTURY ITALIAN RAPIER AND SCABBARD, 84.5cm flattened diamond section fullered blade incised to one side FRANCISCO RUL and on the other EN TOLEDO, characteristic hilt with looping side guard, elongated tapering quillons, D-shaped knuckle bow with scrolling side bar supports, spirally fluted ovoid pommel, fine wire bound spirally fluted grip with Turk's heads, contained in its leather wrapped wooden scabbard with steel chape. See The Rapier and Small-Sword 1460-1820 by A.V.B. Norman, plate 50 and Hilts 53 & 58, page 132 for similar examples. Also Rapiers by Eric Valentine, plate 15, page 26 for a similar example. It is very rare to find a complete scabbard from this period.
A VICTORIAN SEAFORTH HIGHLANDERS FIELD OFFICER'S SWORD, 87.5cm blade by Wilkinson, serial no. 15673 for 1868, etched with scrolling foliage, crowned VR cypher, 78th HIGHLANDERS ROSS SHIRE BUFFS, regimental motifs and battle honours and owner's crest and initials and a maker's panel, regulation pierced steel hilt, red faced liner, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its steel scabbard, complete with knot, together with an associated painting of an officer of the 78th, Thompson in full dress uniform. A VICTORIAN 1846 PATTERN NAVAL OFFICER'S SWORD BY GALT, 76.5cm broad slightly curved blade finely etched and polished with scrolling foliage, crowned royal arms and crowned fouled anchor, the forte with maker's panel, GALT Naval & Regimental Tailor Portsmouth, regulation brass hilt retaining some original gilding and incorporating a crowned fouled anchor, lion's head pommel, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its engraved brass mounted leather scabbard, the locket with two suspension rings and with maker's elaborate device in the form of a stylised crowned Royal arms.
AN INTERESTING EAGLE HEAD GEORGIAN OFFICER'S SWORD, 80.5cm clipped back blade etched with scrolling foliage, crowned Royal arms, crowned GR cypher and then an N within a cartouche to one side and a W within a cartouche on the other, gilt hilt with pomegranate quillon terminals, the knuckle guard in the form of a serpent emerging from the Eagle's head pommel, contained in its gilt mounted steel scabbard. It has been suggested that this is some form of presentation sword representing Waterloo - the N for Napoleon and the W for Wellington. The grip replaced.
A 19TH CENTURY CAUCASIAN SHASQUA, 80cm curved fullered blade incised with celestial imagery, characteristic hilt, 84 standard silver hallmarked long eared silver niello pommel, profusely decorated with tiny stars with a triple beaded border, contained in its leather wrapped wooden scabbard with quadruple hallmarked mounts decorated to match, the upper mount with maker's and assay marks, inscription, and the figure of a mermaid.
A GOOD 7.5MM OBSOLETE CALIBRE SCHMIDT RUBIN MODEL 1889 RIFLE ENSEMBLE, 30inch sighted barrel fitted with pivoting rear sights, blued breech, full stocked with regulation blued mounts, complete with leather sling, muzzle cover, bayonet and scabbard. Matching serial no. 115973, including to the magazine and bayonet. The bayonet is the scarce 1899/92 Cyclists example.

A GEORGIAN PRESENTATION SWORD, 75cm sharply curved blade decorated with scrolling foliage, flowerheads, stands of arms and panels of foliate and geometric designs, the whole highlighted in blue and gilt on a frost etched ground, the inscription: PRESENTED TO CHARLES EDMONSTON ESQUIRE BY THE GOVERNOR AND COURT OF POLICY OF THE COLONY OF DEMERARY AS A TOKEN OF THEIR ESTEEM AND THE SENSE THEY ENTERTAIN OF THE ACTIVITY AND SPIRIT MANIFESTED BY HIM FOR THE INTERNAL SECURITY OF THE COLONY 1802, maker's panel for BENJAMIN REDDELL SWORD CUTLER BIRMINGHAM, gilt hilt with acanthus and oak leaf stirrup guard, bold lion's head pommel, the gilt grip chased to either side with stands of arms within a panel, the langets decorated with stands of arms and the Union flag, pierced and panelled gilt scabbard with fishskin inserts, decorated with stands of arms and acanthus scrolls, maker's panel for Clarke & Sons, Cheapside London. Demerary should have read Demerara, which was located in British Guiana or Guyana.
