Bayonets: British bayonets for the No4 .303 Enfield Service Rifle: No9 MKI for the No4 rifle & Sten? in its steel scabbard with frog. Good condition. No4 MKII 5 (Singer/Savage). In its steel scabbard. Light wear overall. Plus a Naval Jack knife, plus a Belgian F.A.L. Bayonet Model 1963 for the South African R2 & R3 Assault rifles. In its steel scabbard with frog marked 'G. Tollman'. Very good condition overall. (4)
Bayonet: A good and scarce Imperial German Model 1898-05 Pioneers SAWBACK 'Butcher' bayonet. In its steel mounted leather scabbard (crease to leather as normal!) Unit marking to cross guard (Eisenbahn Regiment -Railway Troops) High ears 'Cross guard NO flash guard, maker W & K & Cie. This is a pre-war production circa 1909. Overall in good condition.
Bayonet: A privately modified P1903 SMLE bayonet. Blade shortened from 12" to 8". Blade re ground and re shaped. Scabbard shortened to 9" and painted black. Sold with a Swedish skinning knife in sheath. Blade marked 'Erik Frost' Mora, Sweden. Both items from the family of William Molyneux Pte in the Queen's Regiment, I.C.C and Corps of Hussars. Sold with details of his military service. Good condition overall. (2)
Daggers: A large Arab Jambiya horn hilt with wire decoration. Good curved blade 9" with central raised rib. Leather covered wooden scabbard with fine sheet and wire silver decoration. Plus a tourist type Arab Jambiya. Slim curved blade 5.5". Ebony type grip. In its brass covered wooden scabbard. (2)
German hunting knives by F. HERDER & SONS SOLINGEN: 1) An attractive hunting knife, blade 8". Blade engraved F. HERDER ABR.JOHN.SOLINGEN.GERMANY. Silver mounts on its leather scabbard. 2) A small hunting knife blade 6". 'CLEARENSE' engraved to blade (Portuguese dialect) In its leather scabbard. (2)
Japanese sword 'Katana' blade 28.5". Blue tape to grip with dragon menuki. Rayskin same in good condition (handling wear). Metal scabbard with single asti. Some losses to Khaki paint. Decorated Tsuba & Kashira. Semigane to scabbard. Decoration on this Katana appears to be on a tree theme. The style is a WW2 type 98 shin gunto. This is a good quality sword. The paint flaking from the scabbard.
Japanese sword 'Shin Gunto' type 98 in its wooden scabbard in which is a silver plate engraved 'SURRENDER SWORD 16th SEPT. 1945. GOVERNMENT HOUSE HONG KONG.' Brown tape (handling wear) with rayskin same & cherry blossom Menuki, standard Kabutogane. Pierced tsuba with cherry blossom and hearts decoration. Scabbard with single asti and semigane. Blade 27" (VGC). A nice quality sword with WW2 provenance in original untouched condition. A collectors lot.
Japanese Type 19 Warrant Officers sword. Wirebound ebony type grip, brass guard. Backstrap with cherry blossom device. Slim, fullered, slightly curved blade 31". In a wooden scabbard with leather cover (looks more like for storage of sword rather than wear?) The whole in good condition overall.
Japanese Type 95 sword for NCO's. Numbered blade 27" No131471. (Tokyo First Arsenal blade with 'to' character after number). Brown painted aluminium hilt with cherry blossom MENUKI. Good blade with a couple of minor nicks. In its steel scabbard with matching numbers. Single ASHI. Simple pierced TSUBA. Scabbard part repainted black. Leather field service frog (some losses). A good original WW2 Type 95 sword.
Sword: A fine 1831 Pattern General Officers Mameluke sword, formerly the property of Colonel E.A. Wood. Blade etched with Crown & 'V.R.' and 'E.A. WOOD' & 'X ROYAL HUSSARDS' two piece ivory grip (with minor repair) polished steel scabbard with gilt mounts with two suspension rings. Colonel E.A. Wood served in the Afghan War 1878-9 and participated in the assault of Ali Musjid and operations in the Leighman Valley. Mid and Afghan medal with clasps.
Sword: A good 1821 Pattern Royal Artillery Officers sword in its leather field service scabbard with frog strap (A/F) Blade 34" in good condition marked with the George VI Cypher and 'Royal Artillery'. Top flat marked 'MADE IN ENGLAND'. Triple bar guard with wire bound fishskins grip. A good example of this popular sword.
Sword: A pattern 1895 Victorian Infantry Officers sword. Wirebound fishskin grip. Pierced guard with VR Cypher makers name 'E. THURKLE' to ricasso. Blade 33" with foliate etching and VR Cypher. In its leather field service scabbard (worn with some losses). Stitching split. Worn overall. a/f
Sword: An 1821 Pattern infantry officers sword by Wilkinson (Royal Artillery Pattern). Ricasso marked 'HENRY WILKINSON PALL MALL, LONDON'. Etched blade with R.A devices. Top of blade numbered 35867*. Blade 35" in good condition. Steel triple bar hilt (light rusting). Wirebound fishskin grip (minor wear) in its steel scabbard (lightly rusted). This is a good quality sword which requires a sympathetic clean to restore it.
Sword: An 1895 Pattern Drummers sword. All brass hilt with 'VR' Cypher. Blade by premier maker 'MOLE' of Birmingham W/D marks. Locket marked to 'B' Coy 2nd Bn East Kent Regt. Brass mounted leather scabbard (excellent condition, stitching very good). in very good overall condition, blade 13".
