Dress Sword with worn 80cm etched decorated single edged blade. No maker or retailer marks visable. Gilded brass clamshell guards (One folding) with ornate decoration to guards, knuckle bow and pommel. Wooden grip missing leather cover and wire. Complete with black leather scabbard with gilded chape and frog fittings.
A Victorian Dress Sword. 80cm steel blade with some etched floral designs. Tip is worn and some rust pitting evident. No maker or retailer marks. Gilt finished D shaped guard with folding clamshell guard. Wood grip. No scabbard. Was the property of Sir James Bain, Lord Provost of Glasgow, Knight of the Thistle, circa 1870. Together with a print of the Gentleman wearing a Sword and five Scottish "nip" glasses in blue glass (7).
1796 pattern British Light Cavalry Officers Sabre. German made, maker marked "J J Runkel, Solingen" to spine of 82cm blade. Grip missing. Scabbard is rust pitted overall. Together with a 20th Century souvenir Gurhka Kukri. 40cm bright steel blade marked "India". Wooden scabbard which is missing both knives and most leather covering.
French M1842 Pattern Yataghan Bayonet with 57cm blade dated 1854 to spine complete with scabbard. Along with an African knife with 17cm blade in red leather covered scabbard (a/f), two English hunting knives both with 15cm long blades, one with scabbard a/f, one without scabbard and a stiletto knife with triangular section blade and brass lion handle without scabbard.
