Victorian British 1897 pattern sword with acid etched blade bearing the VR cipher. Pierced basket guard and silver wire wrapped fish skin handle. The ricasso in etched lettering reads; "Robt Mole & Sons Birmingham. Makers to the war and India offices". Original leather scabbard present but worn. Blade length 82cm.
1930s British officer's dress sword of claymore form by London swordsmith Wilkinson Sword "makers to the late George V". The acid etched blade bears the GR cipher and the previous owner's name W.K Ottewill 1939-1960. Silver wire wrapped fish skin handle. Crossguard loose but present. Pommel and scabbard missing.

A superb 19th century Burmese silver encased Dha sword with hammered silver hilt and scabbard, L. 96cm, presented to Major General Sir Owen Tudor Burne (1837–1909), private secretary to the Earl of Lytton in India, also served in Burma, together with a framed engraved portrait and a red leather covered government dispatch box (lock currently not functioning), engraved portrait size 53 x 42cm dispatch box size 46 x 31 x 23cm. Prov. Ownership by descent to Major General Sir Owen Tudor Burne and being offered for sale by a relative.
A late 19th century dress sword marked to the blade Dolan & Co, St Martins lane, London, stylized 'VR' on pierced basket, embossed crown to blade, full length 96cm, with associated scabbard. The scabbard is fairly dent free, but does have areas of rust. It seems to have been spray painted silver. The sword is loose in scabbard, so possibly not original? Pommel sturdy, wires intact.
