Sword: A Dutch 'Heiho' modified 'Kleewang'. Blade 18". Ricasso marked 'HEMBRUNG'. Originally made for the Dutch Army by Hembrug and modified when captured by the Japanese when they took the Dutch East Indies. Used mainly for clearing brush and jungle. In its leather scabbard with brass chape. Good all original condition.

Sword: A good 1821 Pattern Royal Artillery Officers sword in its leather field service scabbard with frog strap (A/F) Blade 34" in good condition marked with the George VI Cypher and 'Royal Artillery'. Top flat marked 'MADE IN ENGLAND'. Triple bar guard with wire bound fishskins grip. A good example of this popular sword.
Sword: A good example XIII Cuirassiers Broadsword manufactured at KLINGENTHAL in January 1822. Double fullered blade 38" with French stamps and makers details in script to top flat. Classic 3 bar hilt and ribbed grip. In its steel scabbard with two suspension rings. The whole in collectors grade condition.
Sword: A good Scottish Cross Hilt sword George V (1910-30) by J.R. GAUNT & SON Ltd. Late Edward Thurkle London & Birmingham. Square ricasso, double fullered broadsword blade 33" well etched with thistle decoration. Wirebound fishskin hilt with bun pommel (pommel unscrews so that a basket hilt can be substituted. Straight crossguard with ball finials. In its leather scabbard with frog loop. (Some losses to leather near the chape which is missing). This sword was the property of Chief Constable Sir William Booth Rennie Morren (see also his medals in this sale)
Sword: A rare and desirable 1821 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Troopers sword. Sheet iron guard with engraved border. Old leather cover inside the bowl. Leather wrap to grip, complete with no losses. Steel back piece with 'ear'. Blade 36" with fuller and in fine condition with original polish. In its two ring steel scabbard (lightly pitted overall as is the bowl guard). A good example of this much sought after heavy cavalry sword. A collector's lot.

Sword: An interesting Göteborgs Police sidearm. Brass stirrup guard backstrap engraved 'GOTEBORGS POLISDISTRIKT'. Fiskskin grip (some wear) secured by two rivets. Blade 25" marked 'IMPORT' and has the squirrel logo of Carl Erickorn (1865-1976 Sword makers). Unfullered with some rust patches. With a gold bullion TRODDEL. Good condition overall. An early 19th century sword, the pierced brass guard with GR cipher beneath a crown, with a leather scabbard, 91 .5 cm long (overall) See illustration Condition report Report by MW Height from the bottom of the guard to where the guard is fixed into the top of the brass fitting is approx. 9.25 cm The blade appears to have been cleaned previously and has a little light surface rust, various knocks to the edges, the guard is pretty good, the grip has wormholes through the leather and lacks any wire binding, it is also chipped right at the top underneath where the guard meets the end of the handle, the leather scabbard has old repair/restoration the the tip (approx. 10 cm), general crazing and cracking Report by RB The only metal on the scabbard is at the top by the guard, and this has in fact been spray painted with awful gilt paint, there are no other metal mounts to the scabbard.

(81cm.) scroll and floral etched blade, crown to centre of blade with George VI initials below, leather scabbard with brass protectors to locket and chape, 38in. (96.6cm.) long overall.
A British infantry officers pattern 1845 sword Victorian, 32¾in. three quarter etched blade with scroll work pattern and centralised Victoria cipher, owners name 'H.C. De La R' etched below ricasso, probably for surname De La Rue, proof mark within star of David to ricasso, etching to obverse of ricasso worn, pierced branch form guard with cipher within oval reserve, shagreen wired grip, stepped pommel with compressed globe finial, metal scabbard with two ring hangers, 39in. (99cm.) long overall.
A German hunting/forestry cutlass late 19th century, fine example, stag antler handle decorated with three vertical brass acorns, foliate and beadwork ferrule, pommel with acorn finial above outspread acorn leaves, cross guard in the form of hounds' heads with deer hooves protruding from their mouths above a clamshell with deer in forest design in relief, 16in. etched blade depicting hunting scenes, leather scabbard with brass mounts to upper and lower sections, 24in.
