An Indian tulwar, double fullered blade 31”, the fullers on one side stamped with small sun or rosette marks alternating with characters (? indistinct), the hilt silver damascened overall with flower heads and scrolls within plain border, in its original red velvet covered scabbard with gold wire embroidery and bands around the throat. Berley Burgess St" (George Berley, 49 Burgess Street, Sheffield), housed in a metal mounted leather scabbard, 31 cm long overall CONDITION REPORTS Scabbard with some tears and surface losses, wear and scuffs, some knocks and dents to metal fitments. Handle of knife has some chips to the horn and some tiny chips to edges, blade with some wear and scuffs and some tarnish, embossed metal mounts to handle with some knocks and denting.

A Russian kinjal / Cossack knife with bone handle and embossed metal mounts, the blade with etched and gilt decoration and bearing twin shield shaped stamps, housed in an etched metal mounted leather scabbard, 49 cm long overall CONDITION REPORTS Scabbard with some damage and losses, some splits and dents, and some glued repairs, some damage to the metal fitments and a section missing, one side of the metal fitment to the end is plain and the end metal section is loose (has come unglued) and tip of inner wooden section broken off and missing (please see photos). Knife itself : blade has wear, scuffs, some knocks and some rusting and pitting, grip has some discolouration, wear, scuffs and large split to one side, metal mounts with some knocks, dents and tarnish.
