A British 1908 pattern cavalry sword, with part fullered blade, the ricasso stamped proved, the hilt with engraved decoration with wire bound grip and cast leaf pommel with leather bound scabbard and frog, the blade 84 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The pommel is firm and secure. There are 20 cm long rust patches on both sides of the blade and further smaller rust patches. The grip wires are loose but intact. The blade appears to be straight with no obvious kinks. The ricasso is stamped proved within a circle. There are no obvious makers marks visible.
A German 1889 pattern cavalry sword, with quill pointed blade, a cocked grip and finger protrusion, the ricasso stamped Weyersberg Kirschbaum & Co Solingen, with Bakelite grip, the hilt with Prussian crest and with leather material tassel, the ridge stamped W91, the scabbard stamped 9.U.5.61, the blade 81.8 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The blade can be withdrawn from the scabbard but it is very very tight. The scabbard has numerous dents and a vertical split. The ridge of the blade is stuck with a bit of glue beneath the crown above the number 91, a further crown mark beneath. The blade has no serial number visible. The blade has been sharpened. The handle is intact. The blade is straight with no obvious kinks or dents. The blade measures 82 cm. The scabbard measures 83.3 cm although the last centimetre is purely decorative on the exterior.
An Edward VII 1821 pattern heavy cavalry officers sword, with three quarter fullered and etched blade with ER monogram, the back stamped 4903, the ricasso etched by Appointment to the King, Hamburger Rogers & Co, 30 King Street, Covent Garden, London, with wire bound shagreen grip, pierced and engraved hilt, with leather scabbard, the blade 88 cm (see illustration).
A 1796 pattern heavy cavalry dress sword, with etched blade and folding hilt, with wire bound wood grip, with leather scabbard. 100 cm overall (currently fixed within its leather and brass scabbard). CONDITION REPORT: The sword is firmly fixed in its leather scabbard however there is a 1.5 cm section that we can see is engraved on both sides. The spine of the blade is inscribed J J P***. The wire grip is slightly loose but this may be due to an attempt to withdraw the sword from the scabbard. There are small indents around the metal mount of the scabbard this would seem to be where attempts have been made to prise the item open. In conclusion the sword can not be drawn from the scabbard.
A German World War II bayonet, the ricasso with unusual markings, with wood grip, metal scabbard, the blade 25 cm, together with a No. 4 MkII spike bayonet scabbard, together with a World War II period canvas rifle sleeve, the interior dated 1942 and stencilled US 45 (3). CONDITION REPORT: The wood grip on the German bayonet is worn both sides and uneven but is still firm, secure and generally intact. There are unusual marks on the ricasso which are not typical European lettering. There are no serial numbers on the scabbard. The scabbard is in generally good condition with no obvious dents, splits or repairs. The bayonet blade is a uniform colour throughout with small black spotting but nothing too detrimental. The spike bayonet is generally in good order and the interior of the scabbard is greased. There is slight wearing around the mount of the bayonet. The bayonet appears to be free from any obvious knocks, dents or splits. The mount of the bayonet is struck with the military mark. The spring mounts to both. The bayonets are in working order. The canvas rattle bag is generally in good order with no major tears or obvious losses. There are a few small patch marks and there are crease marks were it has been folded but nothing that is too detrimental in my opinion.
A socket bayonet, late 19th century, the ricasso struck WD,/89 blade 55 cm, together with a Gurkha Kukri, the wood handle with brass bindings, the blade 43.8 cm, together with a 9 MK 1 bayonet, the blade 20 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are no struck marks on the Kukri. The tip of the blade to the ricasso is 43 cm, the overall length is 55.5 cm. The blade of the Kukri has a few small nicks which should be visible when using the blow-up facility on the website. There is no scabbard with this lot. The blade has pitting which again can be seen using the blow-up facility on the website. The number 9 MK 1 bayonet has dried grease on the blade on both sides. The ricasso is struck with the letter X on one side and military mark on the other. The socket of the bayonet is stamped No9 MK 1-50 263.

A Very Rare English Officer's Basket-Hilted Sword With Indian Gold Koftgari DecorationMid-Late 18th CenturyWith earlier Indian curved tulwar blade double-edged at the point and with a decoratively chiselled panel on one side below the forte, the forte silver-damascened over both sides with the nada'ali quatrain, invocations to God, Muhammad, 'Ali, Hasan and Husayn' in poorly formed naskh, one side incised with two cartouches, one retaining traces of a gold-damascened inscription, elaborate guard of thin bars (two small breaks) forming open ovoidal panels damascened with gold dots and framing shaped crosses damascened with gold flower-heads, the remaining surfaces gold-damascened with landscape scenes inhabited by birds and animals including falcons attacking wildfowl and tigers attacking blackbuck, fore-guards, large scrolled wrist-guard and compressed globular pommel all decorated en suite, the wrist-guard with a sun-in-splendour amid scrolling foliage, the pommel surmounted by a large turned tang button, and chequered spirally-grooved dark horn grip (strap missing) with a silver ferrule above and below, in its wooden scabbard covered in partly tooled black leather (lower part replaced, chape missing) with shaped locket and suspension mount each decorated en suite with the hilt and carrying a ring for suspension 78 cm. blade

An English Dagger Circa 1630With tapering saw-backed single-edged blade with point of diamond section, one side indistinctly dated '163(?)' beneath a heart, rectangular ricasso engraved with initials 'RS' on each side and 'God' on the back, swelling flattened quillons springing from a rectangular block and each with small button on each tip, decorated overall with encrusted silver tendrils bearing flower-heads within silver line borders, one-piece fluted ebony grip (minor old split) with later silver basal mount engraved with wrigglework, and star-shaped silver tang button, in its later tooled dark leather scabbard with suspension chain 22.9 cm. blade
An English Silver-Hilted Small SwordLondon Silver Hallmarks For 1775, Maker's Mark Of William KinmanWith slender tapering blade of hollow flattened triangular section, the forte etched on both sides with panels of foliated strapwork framing a pair of hearts on one side and a star on the other, hilt cast, pierced and chased with bright-cut florets centred on a ground of pierced scrollwork, all within borders en suite and comprising slightly upturned ovoidal shell-guard, quillon-block, lobed quillons, knuckle-guard, globular pommel with prominent tang button, and grip bound with crimped silver ribbon and two thicknesses of twisted silver wire, in original vellum-covered wooden scabbard with linear engraved silver locket, chape and suspension mounts, and with two rings for suspension 76.6 cm. blade
A Rare Russian Hunting DaggerBy The Zlatoust Arms Factory, Dated 1899With bright nickel-plated single-edged blade (minor areas of rust patination) slightly clipped-back at the point and with a narrow fuller along the back on each side, both sides etched with a griffin and scrolling foliage framing the date above 'Zlatoust' in Russia on one side, and with a sportsman in a landscape aiming his gun at two birds on the other, hilt with ovoidal guard pierced to engage with the retaining clip on the locket and with barrel-shaped quillons engraved with a flower-head on each side, domed etched russet steel pommel-cap, and natural buckhorn grip, in original wooden scabbard covered in black leather with shaped steel locket and chape etched with sporting scenes framed by scrollwork and foliage, the locket including a bear on one side, and with ring for suspension; together with three Caucasian black leather suspension belts and straps for edged weapons, two with nielloed silver mounts, the other with nielloed silver-gilt mounts (4)19.7 cm. blade
