A 5TH KENT ARTILLERY VOLUNTEERS PRESENTATION SWORD, 88cm blade finely etched, virtually to the tip, with panels of scrolling foliage, crowned Royal arms, crowned VR cypher, regimental motifs, owner's crest, initials and motto and the presentation inscription, PRESENTED TO MALCOLM B DE B BARNETT, ON HIS ATTAINING THE RANK OF MAJOR BY LIEUT. COLL. BRANDRAM, THE OFFICERS, NON-COMMISSIONED PFFICERS AND GUNNERS OF THE 5TH KENT ARTILLERY VOLUNTEERS, AS A TOKEN OF THEIR HIGH APPRECIATION OF HIS SERVICES, AND OF THEIR ESTEEM AND RESPECT FOR HIM. JUNE 1874, the cast silver hilt profusely pierced and decorated with scrolling foliage, flowerheads, crossed cannons, crowned Regimental title, owner's crest and surname, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its plated steel scabbard decorated with panels of scrolling foliage, owner's crest and motto. Malcolm B. de Berry Barnett was promoted Lieutenant-Colonel on the 29th of October 1879.

AN IMPERIAL GERMAN NAVAL OFFICER'S SWORD, 77.5cm blade etched with scrolling foliage, naval scenes and crowned fouled anchors, some staining, regulation gilt brass hilt incorporating a crowned fouled anchor, double folding guards, lion's head pommel with red and green brilliant eyes, wire bound marine ivory grip, contained in its engraved brass mounted black leather scabbard. Repair to leather.
A SILVER MOUNTED PRESENTATION BOWIE KNIFE, 24cm clipped back blade etched with scrolling foliage to either side, hallmarked silver mounted ivory hilt, Sheffield 1882 and maker's mark of JB, probably John Batt, contained in its silver mounted green leather sheath, the upper and lower mounts with rubbed Sheffield marks, the scabbard gilt embossed VR 1882 within a geometric border. Etched decoration rubbed. It is only supposition but in 1882 Queen Victoria survived an assassination attempt, the assailant, Roderick Maclean was subdued by two Eton school boys, Gordon Wilson and Leslie Murray Robertson, both of whom were publicly thanked by the Queen.
A RARE THIRD REICH FULL ERNST ROHM INSCRIPTION SA DAGGER BY EICKHORN, 22cm flattened diamond section blade etched with the motto to one side and inscription to the other, regulation Holbein hilt with Fr district marks, shaped wooden grip, contained in its nickel mounted brown anodised scabbard.
A SCARCE THIRD REICH SECOND PATTERN LUFTWAFFE DAGGER OF FALLSCHIRMJAGER & CRETE INTEREST, 24.5cm flattened diamond section blade by Eickhorn, etched with the memorium Hans Korner gefallen 20.5.41 Kreta, regulation alloy hilt with wire bound orange celluloid grip, contained in its stippled steel scabbard complete with straps. Hans Korner was killed at Heraklion and is buried at the Maleme cemetery on the island of Crete.

A SILVER NIELLO MOUNTED CAUCASIAN KINDJAL, 24cm double fullered blade with traces of scrolling etched decoration, tip chipped, characteristic hilt with two-piece horn grips secured with silver niello domed rivets, contained in its green velvet wrapped wooden scabbard with silver niello mounts decorated with scrolling foliage and traces of gold wash.
A 19TH CENTURY CAUCASIAN KINDJAL, 42.5cm flattened diamond section blade with offset fullers, profusely decorated with panels of scrolling foliage to one side, characteristic hilt with two-piece bone and horn grips secured by large foliate rivets decorated with gold koftgari, contained in its leather wrapped wooden scabbard decorated to match. One grip scale cracked.

AN INTERESTING LATE 18TH CENTURY MOROCCAN NIMCHA OR SWORD, 84cm curved fullered blade etched with the inscription NO ME SAQUES SIN RAZON, SO ME ENBAINES SIN HONOR, characteristic hilt with downturned quillons and D-shaped knuckle guard, decorated with gold koftgari, shaped rhinoceros horn hilt, contained in its leather wrapped wooden scabbard.
A LATE 19TH CENTURY IVORY MOUNTED MALAYAN DAGGER, 21cm watered steel blade, characteristic carved ivory hilt, contained in its ivory and white metal mounted wooden scabbard, together with a piha kaetta, 19th Century, with carved ivory grip, contained in its white metal mounted reeded wooden scabbard and four further worn piha kaetta. DRESS UNIFORM TO BRIGADIER BASIL EDWARD FLOYD– THE COMMANDER OF ROYAL ARTILLERY ON MALTA IN 1940. Made by Flights of Winchester & Aldershot, Tailors label named to Lieut Floyd. With Lieutenants insignia.With dress belt, sash and cross guard belt. Private Purchase ruler, boots and scabbard for 1 1897 pattern sword. Provenance - Sale by order of the family.Basil Edward Floyd was born in Birmingham in 1887. Floyd was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on September 10th 1910, into the Royal Garrison Artillery. He had been a member of the Territorial Force while at University. Floyd served on the Western Front during the Great War, landing there on October 4th 1914 and was entitled to the 1914 Star Bar Trio. He was twice Mentioned in Despatches ( 8.2.17 & 6.8.18), was awarded a French Croix De Guerre, gazetted September 4th 1917. He received the Military Cross in the 1918 New Year's Honours. He continued to serve in the post-war years, and by the spring of 1940, was an Acting Brigadier; he assumed command of the Royal Artillery on Malta on May 24th 1940. Brigadier Floyd survived the Second World War and passed away in Plymouth in the summer of 1958.
AN RZM MAKER MARKED SA DAGGER, maker marked RZM M7/2 attributed to Emil Voos Waffenfabrik, Solingen. Blade has the motto "Alles für Deutschland". The plating is lifting on the top of the handle and crossguard, with the handle having cracks. The scabbard and dagger have been married, the scabbard having solid nickel fittings. We believe this to be a parts dagger. The blade is just over 22cm and in poor condition.
A HITLER YOUTH DAGGER early 1933 example by Herbertz & Meurer Solingen Ges Gesch. The blade has the motto Blut und Ehre, which is slightly faint. The blade is 14cm's in length. Scabbard and hanger are both in good condition. Overall a nice example with expected wear to the blade and slight surface rust to the handle.
A SECOND WORLD WAR KRIEGSMARINE DAGGER, maker Paul Weyersberg & Co Solingen. The blade has the fouled anchor nautical etch; it is in very good condition. The scabbard is the lightning bolt type. A white-handled example with some small, the pommel and crossguard are in excellent condition, the blade circa 25.5cm.
A SECOND WORLD WAR GERMAN ARMY DAGGER, maker marked WKC; the blade is in clean condition, with orange handle and nicely toned pommel and crossguard. The scabbard is in good condition, with a set of hangers attached. The hangers are maker marked DRGM, they have some oxidisation, and the material is worn in places.The blade 25.5cm longOverall, an attractive example.
