No dents. Blade - 2 manufacturing faults?, and tiny dent towards hilt. No bends to blade or scabbard. No jiggle. Blade L.94cm, hilt L.15cm, scabbard L.100.5cm. Hilt leather worn and fault towards guard, tiny piece of wire loose.
A Sword Stick, Early 20th Century, 21ins double edged blade, hardwood handle and scabbard, 34.75ins overallThe item is best described as of rustic nature produced by a provincial manufacturer, the actual scabbard part of the swordstick has two very long splits, one being approximately 10ins the other being 6ins, and a further split to the back which encompasses probably 50% of the scabbard. the blade is in good condition, showing patination of age but no serious damage, chips or otherwise. The handle has various historic cracks but does fasten securely. Best described a as work in progress

Large two-handed samurai katana sword in a varnished wooden scabbard. With a steel blade 73 cm long, a bronze tsuba, with a stylized relief landscape with monkeys, with a woven fabric wrapping on the handle. The varnished wooden scabbard is decorated with a hieroglyphic inscription, a fan, a stylized flower and scenes of monkeys in tree branches and in a clearing. Likewise, the metal elements of the sheath are subordinated to the motif of the forest and monkeys. Katana length in sheath: 112 cm. Japan. Ceremonial Kylych of the 1860s. Hallmarks: the master of the letter WL, the head of a girl with a moon in a pentagonal rhombus with the letter P, corresponding to the city of Budapest and the number 4, certifying the fourth Austrian standard (equal to the 72nd Russian). Supposedly belonged to a general staff officer, Kaiserliche und konigliche Armee - Imperial Royal Army, during the reign of Franz Joseph, Austro-Hungarian Empire 1867-1922. Material: Steel blade. The scabbard is made of chased silver with remnants of gilding, decorated with cabochon-cut semi-precious stones: ruby, garnet, jade, turquoise. The lower part of the scabbard in a later version. The rarest work of art made by master gunsmiths of the 19th century undoubtedly has historical and artistic value. Historical note: For the first time, the Central Asian Turks and their offshoots began to use curved cavalry swords, in the period from the end of the 3rd century BC. The earliest examples of curved Turkish swords can be found during the period of the Eastern Turkic Khaganate. Single-edged, double-lobed saber of the Caucasian type at the turn of the 19th-20th centuries with a forked head of the handle and a leather scabbard. Decorated with silver, niello and gilding. An unusual WWI trench knife made from a 1903 pattern bayonet the 12in. blade marked with broad arrow, crown '42' SANDERSON SHEFFIELD', small oval cross guard, wooden chequered grip, black leather scabbard, brown leather frog. * Good condition, made up from different parts, as per many trench knives.
