BY THE NON COMMISSIONED OFFICERS & PRIVATES OF F TROOP YORKSHIRE HUSSARS AS A TOKEN OF THE HIGH ESTEEM IN WHICH HE IS HELD BY THE MEMBERS OF HIS TROOP JUNE 1858", by Firmin & Sons, London, the gilt brass hilt well cast and chased with acanthus, laurel and oak leaves, with hinged guard, lion head pommel, combed mane backstrap and wire bound fish skin grip, the tooled leather scabbard with gilt brass locket, chape and band well cast and chased with scrolling leaves, with bullion sword knot. (some black patching and rust to blade, some damage to scabbard.)
