A very rare early example, the blade with the number 5035 (1854) representing the first year of the register of blade numbers which started at 5001. The blade with spear point, etched floral panels and Crowned VR Cypher. To the forte maker's panel for Henry Wilkinson London, also etched with “Patent Solid Hiltâ€. The hilt with brass bar open guard with crowned VR cypher and folding guard. Housed in brass scabbard. Etching to the blade very clear. Some service wear otherwise GC.

Housed in brown anodised scabbard with nickel mounts, the top mount with single suspension ring. Minor service wear, minor faults around SA device. Sturmabteilung dagger introduced in 1933.

Indian Army WW1 period Officer's Infantry sword by Mole. A very good clean example of the regulation Infantry pattern. The blade with cutler's details of Robert Mole Birmingham and is also etched with a crowned GVR cypher. The guard with a ERI Crowned cypher, that encloses the shagreen grip with has twist wire binding. Housed in polished brown leather field service scabbard. Overall GC clean condition, but the plating to the guard is now polished to the base brass metal.

Housed in gilt metal lightening bolt scabbard with oakleaf bands retaining two loose rings and complete with gilt aluminium wire portepee (knot), slightly worn. Gilding a little toned, shallow dents to scabbard minor service wear GC.

German Third Reich 1936 dated Hitler Youth Knife by scarce maker Gebr. Grafrath of Solingen. A good scarce example, the plain blade etched with Blut und Ehre motto, the reverse bearing cutler's stamped logo stamped on the blade and RZM logo M 7/30 1936 to the forte Nickel plated turn up quillon and pommel with two piece black chequered composition grip inlaid red and white enamel HJ swastika diamond. Housed in black painted scabbard with black leather belt loop retaining press stud securing strap. Motto discontinued in August 1938.

Similar Napoleonic War Period 1796 / 1811 Light Cavalry Trooper Sword. A good example closely following the British 1796 light cavalry pattern, with regimental stamps to the cross guard ? TR ?66 indicating possibly the 1811 Prussian Light Cavalry model. Heavy single edged curved blade, with inspection stamp 739 to the back of the blade. The hilt with single bar guard and leather covered wood grip. Housed in with original steel scabbard fitted with two loose rings and with 8. TP 2.66 issue stamps. Overall GC. It is interesting to note that a large number of the Prussian Model 1811 sword were supplied by the British from stocks of the 1796 Light Cavalry sword in 1807 and later in 1813. It was carried by Troopers of the Dragoon and Hussars Regiments and saw action at the Battle of Waterloo.

Napoleonic War Period 1803 Pattern Infantry Officer's Sword A good example, the single edged curved blade with 3/4 length engraved decoration incorporating a floral decoration and a stand of arms. The hilt of the regulation pattern with lion head pommel supporting a single bar guard with crowned GR cypher. The leather grip retaining twist wire binding. Housed in original unusual black leather and gilt mounted scabbard. Fitted with two loose rings and no frog button. The top mount with later engraved presentation: PRESENTED TO COLONEL WILLIAM CLINTON BY THE OFFICERS & NON COMMISSIONED OFFICERS OF THE 55TH FOOT AS A MARK OF RESPECT MAY 1805. Overall GC presentation engraving rather crude.

Polished aluminium acorn ended crossguard with clamshell style guard bearing sprays of oak and laurel mounted with circular brass enamelled device bearing eagle and target within ‘DEUTSCHER - SCHUTZEN - VERBAND swastika ornamented legend, lined pommel. The single edged blade bearing stamped ALCOSO scales logo and etched either side with ornate panels of stags, target, crossed rifles etc. Housed in its black leather scabbard with steel mounts and frog stud. Complete with its dark green portepee (knot). GGC

1912 pattern attributed EIIR Cavalry Officer's sword by Wilkinson London A very good and scarce post 1953 example by Wilkinson Sword of London. The blade, numbered 86894 (1964), is etched with a Crowned EIIR Cypher and scrolling foliage decoration and the owners initials G A H. The hilt is of the regulation pattern, with simulated shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in brown leather field service scabbard. Remains in very clean condition, a few stains to the tip of the blade and with a little attention could be returned to parade condition. The vendor states this was carried by a Mr George Hampton.

The Wilkinson records confirm that sword was purchased on the 27th January 1865.

Victorian 1st Manchester Rifles Attributed 1822 Pattern Officers Sword. This example was carried by Edward Peel Dewhurst. The straight single edged blade with etched decoration of a Crowned VR cypher, strung bugle device, Arms of Manchester, regimental title FIRST MANCHESTER RIFLES and name EDWARD PEEL DEWHURST. The forte with the retailer's details of Firmin & Sons London. The hilt is of the 1822 pattern sword with fixed guard and shagreen grip. Housed in a steel scabbard. The blade remains in very good condition etching clear, the hilt has been professionally restored. Lieutenant Edward Peel Dewhurst was promoted to this rank on the 20th December 1882. His HQ was at Hulme Manchester. He died in 1910 at the age of 57 years

The slightly curved single edged blade is etched with a crowned VR cypher, a strung bugle with title "Manchester Rifles" The forte with the retailer's details of S & S Smith of Manchester. The hilt with a steel open guard incorporating a crowned Bugle device. The shagreen grip with twist wire binding. Housed in leather and steel mounted scabbard. Etching very clear. Overall good clean condition.
