Syrian Sword Shamshir, 19th Century, broad curved single edge blade cut with a single broad fuller, iron cross piece, horn grips inlaid with pewter stats and brass pins, silver pommel and grip sides, in its leather covered scabbard with engraved silver top mount and single hanging band (lower band missing). Blade 86cms. Quite good condition, well worn overall.

The blade measures 17cms, overall 31 ¾ cms.

Rare Third Reich Diplomatic Officials Dress Dagger by Alcoso, Solingen, untouched as found example of the rare Diplomatic service dress dagger, designed the same as the government officials dress dagger but the eagles head on the cross guard faces the opposite way to the pommel. Dagger with mother of pearl grips. Plating to the grip and eagle head pommel is worn revealing some of the brass base metal. Cross guard remains in generally good condition. Housed in the original scabbard with two hanging rings, the ring bands of oakleaves relief. Double edged plain blade with makers trademark to the reverse. The blade has some spotting and finger staining. Blade measures 25 ¾ cms, overall 39 ½ cms. The dagger is a good example overall of one of the rarest dress daggers of the Third Reich.

WW2 German K98 Combat Bayonet, with two piece bakelite grips, steel pommel with acceptance stamp to the reverse of the pommel. Housed in its steel scabbard stamped ‘5190’ and with leather bayonet frog attached. Blade with fuller to the back edge, good percentage of the blueing remaining to the blade. The blade is numbered ‘5455’ and reverse ‘41asw’. Blade 25cms, overall 40 ½ cms.

WW2 German Army Officers Dagger by Alcoso Solingen, the dagger is fitted with a black grip which is the type used on the so called 1st model railway dagger, but from our understanding these daggers were only made by Robert Klaas. This dagger is complete with the top pommel, eagle cross guard with pronounced central eagle, housed in its original scabbard with two hanging rings. Original officers dagger portepee / knot attached. Good full length double edged blade with Alcoso, Solingen makers trade mark to the base. Blade measures 25 ½ cms, overall 39 ½ cms.

Acceptance stamp and crown over ‘W 07’ to the spine of the blade. Generally good condition. The blade measures 52 ¼ cms, overall 68cms.

Makers trade mark to the base of the blade. Some wear to the blade and exterior fittings but generally still a good example.

Blade 87.5cms. Basically good condition, blade edges and edge of guard all refinished, scabbard and hilt moderately rusted overall, acceptable black patina overall.

Complete with the belt loop frog with the elasticated cloth being replaced by a leather strap with brass stud fitting. The name 'M.COLATO' scratched into the belt loop frog. Double edged blade with medial ridge. Some light evidence of sharpening to the edge. Blade 16 ½ cms, overall 32cms.

Housed in the leather field service scabbard. Regulation pattern blade with Wilkinson makers mark and number to the spine of the blade. Etched foliage and cyphers to the blade. Panel with etched initials “E.E.A”. Some surface rusting to the blade but generally still good condition. Blade 89cms, overall 112cms. The Wilkinson Sword ledger gives details of the sword being finished on 19th December 1916 and purchased by E E Anderson Middlesex Yeomanry.

Standard eagle in flight cross guard. The variation squared scabbard has the original hanging rings. Plain double edged straight blade with the late ‘W.M.W’ trade mark for Waffenfabrik Max Weyersberg. The blade measures 24 ½ cms, overall 42cms.

Medals mounted for wear. The sons medals all unnamed as issued, 1939-45 star, Atlantic star with France & Germany clasp, Africa star with North Africa 1942-43, Burma star, Italy star, 1939-45 War medal and Elizabeth II Coronation medal. The medals are court mounted for wear. Accompanied by matching miniature dress medals and tunic ribbon bar. Housed in a card box with the name of Lieutenant Humphries and ‘VANGUARD’; Royal Naval officers sword being a universal pattern with the rear locket engraved ‘R. HUMPHRIES R.N’. Housed in the original scabbard. The sword blade is well worn with much of the etching absent. Original bullion sword knot attached to the guard. Framed and glazed commission document of Rosslyn Humphries, Brigade Orders for the Royal Navy and Royal Marines at the Coronation 1953, pair of officers shoulder boards etc. This grouping has come direct from the family and not offered for sale before.

Blade 76.5cms. Good condition, some age wear overall.

Bhutanese Sword, 19th Century, broad straight single edge blade constructed of ‘hair pin’ pattern welding, brass wire-bound grip of conventional form with plain iron pommel, in its leather covered scabbard with large brass chape. Blade 63.5cms. Basically good condition, some damage to cutting edge, some age wear overall.

WW1 German Model 98/05 Mauser Bayonet, good example with two piece wooden grips, steel pommel and cross guard. Housed in its leather and steel mounted scabbard. Attached to the scabbard is brown leather bayonet frog. Swollen blade with fuller to the back edge. Blade stamped with crown ‘EREFURT’ and reverse with Gottlieb Hammesfahr Solingen Foche makers mark. House in the original scabbard with organisation emblem to the lower chape. Attached to the scabbard is the original black leather hanging strap with metal clip fitting. Blade with motto ‘Arbeit adelt’ and reverse side with acceptance stamps and makers trade mark of Carl Julius Krebs, Solingen. The blade measures 24 ½ cms, overall 40cms. Some surface rusting and patina to the exterior fittings.

British 1907 Prince of Wales Volunteers South Lancashire Regiment Regimentally Marked Bayonet by Wilkinson, two piece wooden grips, steel pommel with oil hole. Pommel stamped ‘2 PWV 223’ for the 2nd battalion of the Prince of Wales Volunteers South Lancashire regiment. Steel short cross guard with muzzle ring. Housed in its leather and steel mounted scabbard. 1945 dated webbing bayonet frog attached to the scabbard. Blade with fuller to the back edge, much of the blued finish to the blade. Crown over 1907 and ‘WIKINSON’ makers mark with various acceptance stamps. Blade 43cms, overall 57 ½ cms.
