A French 1892 Pattern bayonet, first pattern with second pattern muzzle ring, composition grips, quillon and metal scabbard with matching numbers stamped 10058, 15.5 inch fullered blade, together with a 19th century leather-clad saddle flask, with hand-blown green glass bottle of flattened tapering cylindrical form, 25cm long, and a white metal cased military compass (3)
Yatagan. Osmanisch, wohl Kaukasus-Region, 19. Jahrhundert. L 75cm. Typische, leicht geschwungene Klinge mit beidseitiger, doppelter Kehlung am Rücken und beidseitig tauschiert mit Silbereinlagen, auf einer Seite die Datierung "1262" (=1846). Die eigentliche Klinge möglicherweise älter und hier zweitverwendet. Griffschalen mit typisch ausladenden Enden aus geschnitztem Walross-Zahn (?) jeweils mit vier Eisennieten befestigt. Die versilberte Metallmontierung an Klinge und Griff reich verziert mit Filigran und besetzt mit mehreren mandelförmigen Zierelementen aus Roter Koralle (?). Im Stil süd-russischer Einfluss erkennbar. Dabei eine nicht original zugehörige, etwas spätere Scheide aus versilbertem Zinkspritzguss, diese auf beiden Seiten vollflächig verziert mit Kartuschen mit Armaturen sowie anderen Darstellungen im Stil des Rokoko. Einige Beschädigungen und Reparaturen. Ottoman Yatagan. Typical, slightly curved blade with two narrow grooves on both sides along the back and inlaid with silver on both sides, the date 1262 (= 1846) on one side. The actual blade may be older and used a second time here. Grip scales with typically protruding ends made of carved walrus ivory (?), each one attached with four iron rivets. The silver-plated metal mounting on the blade and the grip is richly decorated with filigree and set with several almond-shaped decorative elements made of red coral (?). In the style South Russian influence is recognizable. Comes with a somewhat later silver-plated zinc scabbard that does not belong to the Yatagan originally and which is fully decorated on both sides with cartouches in the Rococo style. Verchromter Metallgriff, auf der Vorderseite mit Gravur des Staatswappens von Bahrain, darunter umlaufendes Zierband. Original zugehörige Scheide aus verchromten Metall mit typischer Abwinklung im unteren Bereich sowie aufwändigen floralen und geometrischen Gravuren, im unteren Bereich kastenförmiger Aufsatz, der einen Trageriemen imitiert, sowie seitlich zwei Trageringe, rückseitig beige Samtbespannung. Dieser Dolch wurde im Jahre 1988 anlässlich eines offiziellen Besuchs in Bahrain als Gastgeschenk an einen bundesdeutschen Diplomaten übergeben. Fast unberührt, intakt. Jambiya / Khanjar. Steel blade with a strong central ridge. Chromed metal grip, on the front with engraving of the national coat of arms of Bahrain, underneath a surrounding decorative belt. Original scabbard made of chromed metal with typical bend in the lower area, elaborate floral and geometric engravings, in the lower part a box-shaped attachment that imitates a carrying strap, as well as two carrying rings on the sides, beige velvet covering on the reverse. This dagger was given to a West-German diplomat as a present on the occasion of an official visit to Bahrain in 1988. Provenienz: Ex Slg. Lothar Rühl, Deutschland, erworben 1988.

Vergoldeter Metallgriff auf der Vorder- und Oberseite reich graviert mit floralen Mustern sowie dem plastisch herausgearbeiteten Staatswappen. Original zugehörige Scheide aus vergoldetem Metall mit typischer Abwinklung im unteren Bereich, aufwändigen Gravuren und Filigranverzierungen auf der Vorderseite, seitlich zwei Trageringe, im oberen Bereich aufgelegte, kleine rund Plakette mit dem Staatswappen. Dieser Dolch wurde im Jahre 1988 anlässlich eines offiziellen Besuchs in Saudi-Arabien als Gastgeschenk an einen bundesdeutschen Diplomaten übergeben. Fast unberührt, intakt. Jambiya / Khanjar. Polished steel blade with gold-plated state coat of arms of Saudi Arabia embossed on both sides, the number 752 on one side. The gold-plated metal grip on the front and top is richly engraved with floral patterns and a three-dimensional national coat of arms. Original associated scabbard made of gilded metal with typical bend in the lower area, elaborate engravings and filigree decorations on the front, two carrying rings on the sides, and a small round plaque with the national coat of arms in the upper area. This dagger was given to a West-German diplomat as a present on the occasion of an official visit to Saudi Arabia in 1988. Provenienz: Ex Slg. Lothar Rühl, Deutschland, erworben 1988.
A steel commando dagger in leather scabbard, 34cm overall length Condition Report: Scabbard looks a bit modern, may be a replacement. Blade good, crossguard ok. The hilt has some small identations here and there, but not bad. There is a mark on the hilt just above the crossguard, an L above an inverted V, could be a worn military arrow mark.
