**AN ENGLISH SMALL-SWORD WITH BURNISHED STEEL HILT, RETAILED BY D. DRURY SWORD CUTLER TO HIS MAJESTY with polished slender tapering blade of hollow-triangular section, steel hilt set with numerous faceted studs in imitation of brilliants (small losses, the hilt now dismantled), comprising oval dish-guard set with a flower-shaped pattern, forward-canted flattened circular quillon, a pair of very slender arms, knuckle-guard, urn-shaped pommel and faceted grip, in its steel-mounted leather scabbard (cracked), with signed locket, and complete with an early chain for suspension 80.2 cm; 30 5/8 in blade Literature: D. A George IV 1822 pattern general officer`s sword by Oliphant & Co, London, with slightly curved pipe back blade, length approx 83cm, retaining most original polish (minor rust marking), brass gothic hilt with folding guard retaining some gilt finish, wire bound fishskin covered grip (loose, backstrap distorted), in its steel scabbard (pitted and dented).
A George V 1897 pattern Indian Army officer`s sword by Wilkinson, number 60474 (for 1925), with straight dumbbell section blade, etched `R.B. Seed.`, length approx 82.5cm, nickel plated hilt with crowned `GRI`, wire bound fishskin covered grip with leather knot, in its leather covered field service scabbard (hilt plating lifting, blade lightly rusted).
