Second half of the 19th C. Very fine handmade dagger. Steel blade without marks and decorations, scabbard made in wood, niello silver 800 and enamel ornaments. The grip made in wood with silver and enamel ornaments. Dagger dimensions with scabbard: 48cm, without scabbard 45,5cm. Very fine piece and very good condition. I-II
The hilt is of brass. The gilt is worn on the normal handhold places. The sword features a motif of oak leaves and accorns which run from the pommel down the back strap and are continued on the flat knuckle bow surfaces, the ferrule has an oak leaf sprig motif, the cross guard features a langet with Wehrmacht style eagle, the grip is black celluloid over wood base, with filigree wire, blade length 90 cm, steel scabbard, black painted. Very good condition. Germany manufacture: Alcoso Solingen (stamped on blade) and marking mark. Rare! I- R!

A Fairburn Sykes commando knife, 2nd pattern, marked with broad arrow above number 2, as carried by airborne forces, double edged fighting knife with blackened blade of 18cm length, with a brass handle and blackened cross guard. In brass tipped scabbard with wings and elastic retainer still present. As carried by 1133058 Gunner Haydon R. of the 53 Air Landing Light Regiment of the Royal Artillery who landed by glider at Pegasus Bridge shortly after D-Day in June 1944 and fought through to be discharged in 1948.

Overall length 49.5cm. Complete with brown leather scabbard, again Union of South African inspection marking along with maker mark and date for "Robco Ltd, Montreal, 1942".

White grip, cracked, grip wire has come adrift/broken. Release catch is missing the stud, but still fuctional. Blade washer still present. Complete with lightening bolt design scabbard. Comes with the remains of the original knot. Provenance: Was originally owned by a U Boat officer who was killed in action and was a boyfriend of the vendors German born Mother.

Complete with all original ribbons and with the original case for the Order of St. Anne with instructions for wear. This group comes with his Service Certificates dating from 1897 to 1929, a book of Sea Phrases English & Italian dated 1893, copies of the citation for the Order of St Anne, English translation award citation given for service on HMS Jupiter in 1915 along with extensive family history research, copies of articles related to the family's RN service. Also included in the group is his Royal Navy Officers Sword with 80cm long single edged fullered proof marked blade with etched decoration. No makers mark. Wire bound shagreen grip, lions head pommel. Overall length 96cm. Complete with leather scabbard with twin suspension rings.
