CONDITION REPORT: The blade is straight and not bent. It is in good condition on both sides and there is no evidence of any rust. The gilding to the hilt is generally very good on both sides of the sword with only very minor discolouration in places. The majority of the gilding on the scabbard fittings is rubbed. This is particularly the case on the top two fittings. The gilding is approximately 50% complete on the bottom fitting. The leather scabbard itself is in generally good order but does have some crease marks but no losses or tears.
A Second World War Commando knife, with canvas sheath, and a pair of Commando wire cutters (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The cross guard to the knife is slightly loose. The wire clippers are tarnished and corroded but operate. The leather pouch is discoloured, stained and scuffed but complete and operational.
