Quillons decorated en suite, curved guard ending in a dragon's head. Large pommel shaped as a dragon's head with open jaws and tongue. Light blue, faceted hilt (one facet missing), finely pierced. All finely engraved with floral and geometric motifs. Silver scabbard engraved and richly pierced with floral motifs. Smooth cap with four suspension rings and borders with intertwined decorations. Chape with a dragon's head (rare). Hilt and scabbard decorated with many semi-precious stones (missing parts) especially pink, some white; a large, a dark red stone on the guard and two large smoke-grey and yellow stones on the dragon's head on the chape of the scabbard. Such a fine and rare kastane has not been seen on the world market for a long time. See a very similar item at the Hermitage Museum, illustrated in Obrtztsov (2015, page 124). length 46 cm.
