British 1796 pattern cavalry officers sword with long curving blade by Gill, steel stirrup hilt with large D-shaped langets, scroll quillion, steel back piece and ears holding the wood grip, complete with scabbard blade length 84cm sword length, 96cm. CONDITION REPORT: Blade well patinated, some pitting. One nibble to blade. Blade slightly bent towards end. Grip is split and cracked. Scabbard has dent and is rusted in places. A German WW2 leather whip, found in the attic of a local Guernsey house used by the occupying forces during WW2, the curved, semi-rigid whip with knop-top handle and leaf shaped tip with cut lettering, 'INTP', 37½in. (95cm.) long; together with a French WW1 M1892 Berthier Carbine bayonet with scabbard; and a small aluminium water flask. (3)
A First World War 1907 Hooked Quillon Pattern bayonet & scabbard, the bayonet features riveted wooden grips and locking lug, metal guard with hooked quillon and muzzle ring, in leather scabbard with metal furnishings, 22½in. (57.2cm.) long. * It is rare to see these Hooked Quillon varieties, given nearly all that were produced before 1914 had the hooks removed for First World War service.

A German hunting / forestry cutlass, late 19th century, fine example, stag antler handle decorated with three vertical brass acorns, foliate and beadwork ferrule, pommel with acorn finial above outspread acorn leaves, cross guard in the form of hounds' heads with deer hooves protruding from their mouths above a clamshell with deer in forest design in relief, 16in. etched blade depicting hunting scenes, leather scabbard with brass mounts to upper and lower sections, 24in. (61cm.) long overall.
An obsolete calibre .577/450 London Arms Company three-band Snider rifle, 39inch sighted rifled barrel fitted with ramp and ladder rear sights, the lock stamped 1861 over LAC and with a crown over V.R. at the tail, full stocked with regulation brass and steel mounts, complete with cleaning rod, bayonet and scabbard and sling. An 18th Century English Silver hilted hunting hanger, 55.5cm sawbacked blade, the hallmarked silver hilt with downturned shell guard cast with a large urn of fruit flanked by two naked female forms, the crossguard, D-shaped knuckle bow and pommel cap also cast with fruit filled urns, panelled tortoiseshell grip very finely engraved with scrolling foliage and crowns, possibly inlaid with very very fine silver wire, contained in its white metal mounted tooled leather scabbard. Chape replaced. The hallmark, on the knuckle bow, appears to be for London 1730.
A scarce 1803 Pattern Grenadier Guards Officer's sword, 74cm curved bright blade by Johnston etched with scrolling foliage, crowned GR cypher, the Royal Arms and the legend GRENADIER GUARDS to one side and FOR MY COUNTRY AND KING on the other, maker's details to the back edge, staining, regulation copper gilt hilt incorporating a crowned GR cypher, lion's head pommel wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its copper mounted leather scabbard, the throat engraved with the maker's trade panel.

An unusual 1897 Pattern Infantry Officer's sword to the IV Hussars and Major Francis Cambell Pearson, 87.5cm blade by Wilkinson, serial no. 19164, etched with scrolling foliage, crowned VR cypher, owner's initials, crowned regimental motifs and full battle honours to SEVASTOPOL, regulation pierced steel hilt incorporating a crowned GVR cypher, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its steel scabbard. It is assumed the blade was remounted by another member of the family, a son or nephew.
An Honourable Artillery Company Officer's sword to Morrisson, 79.5cm flattened diamond section blade by Warren, etched with scrolling foliage, HAC and owner's crest, regulation copper gilt hilt with upturned guard, applied HAC emblem lacking, D-shaped knuckle guard, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its engraved brass mounted leather scabbard.

S Hunter MID of the 6th Dragoon Guards, 88cm blade by Wilkinson, serial no. 43991 for 1913, etched with scrolling foliage, Royal Arms, Royal cypher, regimental motif and owner's initials KSH, some patination, regulation plated hilt incorporating the regimental motif, some patination, wire bound fishskin grip, contained in its field service scabbard, complete with leather knot.
A 1908 Pattern Cavalry Trooper's sword to the Royal Canadian Dragoons (?), 89cm clean blade by MOLE, stamped P08 on the back edge and with various Ordnance stamps and dates to include that for 1914, regulation steel bowl guard, patinated, bearing various Ordnance stamps and marked with a B over RCD, composition ergonomic grip, bearing the rack no. 31, contained in its steel scabbard also dated 1914. The Royal Canadian Dragoons served as part of the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) and arrived in France in May 1915 to take part in the action at Festubert as part of Seely's Detachment. From 1916 onwards they formed part of the 1st Canadian Cavalry brigade and fought in France through to the end of the war.
