WW2 German Luftwaffe 2nd Pattern Dress Dagger, with white celluloid grips retaining wire binding. Complete with cross guard, top pommel and scabbard. Double edged blade with Paul Weyersberg & Co Solingen makers mark. Blade 24cms, overall 41 ½ cms. We are of the opinion that this dagger has been made using a mixture of original and reproduction parts. Sold as viewed.
Imperial Russian Crimean War Pioneers Sidearm, heavy one piece ribbed brass grip with “S” shaped guard having various stampings to the reverse. Thick slightly curved sawback blade with various acceptance stamps and slight central fuller. Housed in a replacement leather covered and brass mounted scabbard. Blade 51cms, overall 72 ½ cms.
American US Navy MK1 Combat Knife, housed in its grey fibre scabbard with webbing frog attachment. Top scabbard mount with “U.S.N MK 1”, reverse “NORD-8114 B.M.Co 1/5 vp”. Single edged blade with clipped point. Forte stamped “U.S.N MARK 1”, reverse “RH PAL MADE IN USA 35”. Blade 13 ¼ cms, overall 27cms.
Bavarian Model 1855 Infantry Officers Sword, fine example with brass knuckle guard, pommel and back strap. Shark skin grip retaining the wire binding. Housed in its original black painted scabbard with two hanging rings. Slightly curved blade with fuller to the back edge. Engraved to the centre of the blade with Bavarian motto and foliage. Robert Hermes Solingen makers trademark to the base of the blade. The blade measures 78cms, overall 94cms.

Blade etched with motto “Blut und Ehre!” and RZM mark M7/2 1937. We are of the opinion that this item is an excellent museum quality post war representation, sold as viewed.

Housed in its black painted scabbard with leather belt loop hanger attachment. Blade etched with motto “Blut und Ehre!” and RZM MZ/49 1939. Wiesbaden-Biebrich”, the other side with “Fur Erinnerung an die Ausbilduugszeit 1938-1939”. We are of the opinion that this is a post war representation made up of some original parts. A FINE EXAMPLE OF AN 1857 PATTERN ROYAL ARTILLERY OFFICERS SWORD, this example has been subject to a complete and professional restoration by the World recognised 'Crisp & Sons' Framfield, East Sussex, the blade is etched with the Royal cypher and the Royal Artillery Ubique Canon logo, the top edge of the blade is marked 'London Made' and bears the serial number 48997, the riccaso of the blade is marked Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall, London, this sword is complete with its leather and metal scabbard and there is full provenance in relation to the restoration carried out in 2006, this sword is fully complete and would be hard to upgrade

A 1796 style light cavalry officer's sword, broad shallow fullered blade with hatchet point, 32½", marked "J.J. Runkel, Solingen" on backstrap, etched blued and gilt for half length with pre 1801 Royal Arms, supporters and motto on one side and crowned GR cypher on the other, with florets and other devices, gilt brass stirrup hilt, the crossguard with quillon and langets, the outer langet bearing a silver plated grenade, facetted knucklebow with ring at the top, lion's head pommel and plain backstrap, chequered ivory grip (cracked), in its black leather scabbard, panelled on the outer side, and with gilt locket, middle band and chape, 2 rings, sword cutler's name "Archer, Dublin" on locket. Good Condition, the blade retaining approx 50% blueing and gilding, the hilt and scabbard mounts approx 70% gilt (some pitting stains to blade, extreme tip broken) Plate 18
A 19th cent Spanish officer's sword, curved blade 30", with narrow back fuller and similar to top third length of fore edge, faint traces of etching, pierced, ornamental brass hilt incorporating the Spanish R Arms on flags with 2 rosettes, knopped knucklebow, forward sloping foliate pommel cap and backstrap, wirebound polished darkwood grip, in its black painted scabbard with 2 rings to leading edge. GC (refurbished overall). Plate 7 .

A 1796 pattern officer's sword of Sir Hussey Vivian, KCB, Veteran of the Napoleonic Wars including Waterloo, straight, fullered blade 32½", etched blued and gilt for half length with trophies and florets, and on one side with crowned GR cypher, and on the other with the 1816-37 Royal Arms with supporters and motto, regulation gilt hilt, double shell guard with engraved panel on the inner side, the outer shell turning up, facetted knucklebow, engraved quillon, facetted urn pommel engraved on the top, simulated wirebound grip, in its leather (restored) scabbard with gilt locket, ring and frog stud, and chape, in shaped tin case with lid and clasp, and brass nameplate engraved "Hussey Vivian Esq (7th Light Dragoons)" Sword Very Good Condition, retaining approximately 85% original gilt finish overall. Plate 19 Note: Richard Hussey Vivian, born 1775, entered the Army in 1793. In 1804 appointed Lt Colonel in the 7th Light Dragoons; served in the Retreat from Corunna; severely wounded in the advance on Toulouse. As General Vivian at Waterloo he addressed the 18th Hussars and said "18th You will follow me" and the result on the cavalry and guns was most successful.Master General of Ordnance 1835-1841. A 1796 pattern light cavalry trooper's sword to the 12th Lancers, blade 32½" with viewer's mark and stamped "I. Gill", the hilt engraved "12/ RL/ H/27" beneath the crosspiece, in its scabbard, stamped "Osborne & Gunby/ Birm" (partly erased), and engraved "12/ RL/C/ 37". QGC (worn and moderately pitted overall, the engraved markings faint) .
