THREE NINETEENTH/TWENTIETH CENTURY BAYONETS ADN A BRASS SHELL CASE, the bayonets include an Imperial German bayonet and a scabbard made by F.A. Hermes, a WWI era butcher bayonet and another with scabbard and frog, all the bayonets have some surface rust on the blade and scabbard and are in need of a clean, the brass shell case is undated, Customers must satisfy themselves prior to sale in regards to conditions and authenticity, viewing is advised, condition reports are available on request

A LATE 1930'S GERMAN HJ KNIFE DATED 1937, this comes in its original scabbard and has the maker code M7/51 indicating it was produced by Anton Wingen Jr, the blade itself is rubbed and there is a small rough area on the top of the blade, there are scratches at the top of the handle, but the lozenge is in good order, Customers must satisfy themselves prior to sale in regards to conditions and authenticity, viewing is advised, condition reports are available on request
A MANTON & COMPANY ROYAL NAVY OFFICERS SWORD AND SPEAR, the sword is nicely etched and decorated and has a crowned fouled anchor and the Royal Arms mark, the handle has a bound grip with a brass lion's head pommel and the brass hilt also features an anchor, there is some rusting at the top of the blade near the cross guard, it comes in its original scabbard that has metal mounts, the spear has a wooden shaft and a metal spear head, there is some decoration just before the blade on the spear head, the overall length of the spear is 171cm
A BOX OF ASSORTED MILITARY ITEMS, INCLUDING WWII ERA STEEL HELMET, A 19TH CENTURY FRENCH BAYONET, GAS MASK, POUCHES, MESS TINS ETC, the helmet comes complete with its liner and a chinstrap, the French bayonet is dated 1876 on the top edge of the blade but it is missing its scabbard, the other items include a bag, two pouches, a Sam Browne style belt and the mess tins for cooking and eating food whilst out on duty, two small brass shells and drinks bottle
A NINETEENTH TO TWENTIETH CENTURY CAVALRY SWORD WITH SCABBARD, we cannot find any markings on the blade, this has a leather covering on the grip and a brass hilt, the scabbard is black with two hanging loops and it has possibly been over painted, the blade measures 87cm and the overall length is 107cm
THREE VARIOUS SWORDS AND A BOYONET, this lot includes a Balkan Yataghan sword, this is usually from the 19th Century and features an oversized Walrus handle, the blade has rusted and it is missing its scabbard, the 2nd sword features a wooden grip with a cross shaped hilt, the blade is etched but worn in places, the cross guard has rusted and the scabbard has broken near the end, the 3rd sword is a curved sabre, it features an etched blade that is rubbed in places, the cross guard has rusted but the sire bound grip is good, the bayonet is a Wilkinson 1907 pattern, the markings on the blade are just legible but the scabbard is broken
A WWII GERMAN KRIEGSMARINE OFFICERS DAGGER MADE BY WKC, the blade is nicely etched and it appears to be in good condition and the push button release still operates well, the wire band handle has no damage but the scabbard has got some dents to it, the portapee is slightly damaged and has started to fray, the vendor states this dagger was brought back by their relative who served in the Royal Navy during WWII
A 1st of July Officer Casualty – Family history states “Lung Shot out of His Back”, Lieutenant John Hampson Fletcher, 11th (Service) Battalion (St Helens Pioneers) South Lancashire Regiment, who was very badly wounded in the Battalion attack on Montauban on the 1st of July 1916, and who served in the Home Guard in World War Two, a pre-war Trinty College Boat Club Team Member comprising, 1914-15 Star, (Lieut: J.H. Fletcher. S. Lan: R.), 1914-1920 British War and Victory Medals, (Lieut. J.H. Fletcher.), 1939-45 Defence Medal, unnamed as issued, very fine (4)John Hampson Fletcher was commissioned in October 1914, he has file of Officer's Papers at The National Archives. He was awarded a Silver War Badge, see Medal Index Card and he appears in the Non Effectives Register 1917.The Medals and ephemera come directly from the family, the family story is of a lung shot out on the Somme.11th (Service) Battalion (St Helens Pioneers). Formed in St. Helens on 1 September 1914 by Lord Derby. Moved to Bangor in February 1915. 15 May 1915 : moved to Grantham and came under command of 30th Division as its Pioneer Battalion. Adopted by War Office 15 August 1915. Moved to Larkhill in September 1915. Landed at Le Havre on 7 November 1915.British Battalion on the Somme – Ray Westlake11th South LancsAt Ravine Copse, Maricourt Sector 1/7.
