dating: first quarter of the 18th Century provenance: Europe, Wide, straight, double-edged blade of hexagonal section, with fuller at the forte, bearing the motto 'NO ME SAQUES SIN RASON / NO ME EMBAINES SIN HONOR' bordered by frames with racemes. Remains of some initials near the tang, on one side, and the inscription 'cavile' on the other. With mark 'No. 46 Dn. Benito Varias Yndan' in italics on the left side. Large, iron hilt. Quillon with parry quillon ending in a faceted and buttoned fig. Loop-guards shaped and decorated with a knot on the outside, and flat inside. Large loop-guard provided with iron valve pierced and decorated with stars, fixed with copper. Two rings: one for the index finger and one for the thumb, fixed at the back. Faceted and buttoned mushroom-shaped pommel. The button probably in a separate element. Remains of old finishing on the pommel and on part of the loop-guard. One of the loop-guards was probably repaired. Grip with iron ring nuts at the ends and covered in thick, iron wire binding. Scabbard (wood and leather probably later) with iron mounts; cap with belt hook and lug. length 93,5 cm.

Brass hilt with stirrup guard, with an additional quillon. Long, smooth cap. Grip with old leather covering and brass wire binding. Without scabbard. length 74 cm.

dating: Early 19th Century provenance: Sardinia, Curved blade, probably a repurposed sabre (with signs of use and time, pitting at the tip), with a wide fuller. Wooden grip, nearly entirely covered with brass plates engraved with floral and geometric motifs. On one side, at the center, a rectangular cartouche featuring a monogram. Beautiful brass scabbard engraved with floral motifs and small frames on the front side. length 73,5 cm.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Single-edged blade of typical shape, with floral engraving on the right side and Arabic inscriptions, Arabic mark and floral motifs on the opposite side. Grip covered with engraved and nieloed silver foil (defects) with small ears. Beautiful silver scabbard richly embossed with a sailing ship, trophies, palaces and floral motifs, cap with braided rings. Suspension ring. Chape with monster's head. length 76.3 cm.

dating: circa 1800 provenance: Hungary, Straight blade of lozenge section, the first part engraved with Hungarian coat of arms. Bronze hilt with remains of gilding, double-valve engraved on both sides with floral motifs, center of crossguard and loop-guard with grooves, the pommel with feathered helmet. Iron scabbard lacquered in black with gilt brass mounts, heart-shaped button. length 100.5 cm.

dating: Mid 19th Century provenance: Sardinian Kingdom, Large, slightly curved, single-and-false-edged blade with wide central fuller, tang marked 'A&E. HOLLER / SOLINGEN' with 'BC' mark. Typical, blackened, solid, iron hilt. Leather scabbard with brass mounts ('FG' mark). length 83.5 cm.

dating: provenance: France, Curved, single-and short false-edged blade, with fuller on almost all its length, with short tang. Pitting, signs of use and time. Signed 'Peter Willhelm Knecht Fabriquant in Solingen' at the back. Width at the base: 3.7 cm. Length: approx. 78 cm. Brass hilt. Stirrup guard (repair probably made in the period of use) webbed upwards. Langets engraved with 'X' at the centre, straight parry quillon. Outlined, long cap. Wooden grip with remains of copper wire binding. Without scabbard. length 92 cm.
