There is minor surface rubbing to the metalwork, the grip is in good order, some light pitting and tarnishing to the blade, some obvious wear to the leather frog to the edges and some surface scratches to the blackened scabbard.

Some minor surface wear to the metal work, the upper inset logo is scratched and obscured. A 1cm split to the reverse side of the wood where it meets the pommel with further scratches to the wood. The blade has some pitting to both sides and surface scratches. The scabbard has a silvered finish to the upper and lower metal mounts which is coming off in parts and rather unsightly. Some light surface scratches to the blackened area.

Minor wear to the gilding of the pommel and the crossguard. There is a 5mm crack to the upper section of faux ivory and rubbing to the remaining parts. The button locking mechanism works well. There is some pitting to both sides of the blade obscuring the decoration. Light surface pitting and two small dents to the scabbard.

A late 19th century naval dirk, with lion head pommel, shagreen wirework grip and engraved blade in associated scabbard, length of blade 29.5cm. Some surface tarnishing and wear to the metal, the upper section of shagreen where it meets the pommel is crudely repaired with glue and is very unsightly, general discolouration to the shagreen elsewhere. The washer is new. The blade is very badly pitted, obscuring all the decoration. The scabbard is a home-made related example.

MARBLES; a limited edition hunting knife 'Custom 2004', with antler handle, engraved blade inscribed 'MSA Co. Gladstone, Mich. USA', 1/50, complete with leather scabbard set with lower section for the polishing stone, length 33.5cm. A few small scratches to the metal pommel, some residue on the blade, presumably from where it has been greased, and a bit of verdigris round the brass collar. Would require a clean. Scabbard also have verdigris residue and some light surface wear.

A large 19th century American military issued Bowie knife, with wooden grip, brass crossguard stamped 'WD, JWR.' and with steel blade inscribed 'USWD, Ames Mfg. Co. Cabotsville, 1849', in brass mounted leather scabbard, length of blade 30cm. CONDITION REPORT: PLEASE NOTE: we are unable to post this lot using our own in-house packing and postal service. There is a red pigmentation to the grip so either it has been painted at some stage or we have lost the original, there are a few knocks and dents to the wood, also knocks and dents to the brass crossguards, slightly misshapen to one end. The blade is slightly pitted with a few chips to the blade edge. The leather scabbard is possibly associated and is in worn condition.

19th Century British Rifle Officers Sword Madras Native Infantry 1827 Pattern Formed in 1800, the 95th regiment carried this 1827 pattern sword throughout the 19th century. It has a steel Gothic hilt with strung bugle motif, stepped pommel, rolled quillon and brass proof button to top of blade. Approx length 39.4 inches, complete with scabbard.
