Generally appears complete.Scabbard and blade both hallmarked, both near the hilt. Blade stamped for London and with a Sampson Mordan & Co stamp on the opposite side.

Plated straight blade of 33.3/4", with three-quarter fuller. A carved wooden grip with wire wrap, complete with a steel scabbard that has been painted silver.

A WILKINSON R ARTILLERY OFFICERS SWORD. A steel three bar hilt sword numbered Wilkinson blade 39997, complete with its steel scabbard. The very clean single-edged 35" blade, has the Imperial crown above Edward V11. Royal Artillery badge and Royal Artillery owners initials appear to be a large C then I and A. Complete with a brown leather sword knot, some light rusting evident in places on the plated scabbard.

The scabbard with Oyster shell decoration is in two pieces, possibly the glue having broken down, also contains one bone handled skinning knife. AN OFFICERS SWORD. A QE11 cypher 1897 pattern officers sword, complete with swordknot and scabbard. The German made blade by Carl Eickhorn with Squirrel mark, in very clean condition. The QE11 cypher is also in the very clean and crisp hilt, the brown leather field scabbard complete with sword frog.

A CASED MIDDLE EASTERN PRESENTATION 20thC SWORD. A 1970's period Shamshir sword with ornate gilt covered scabbard and mounts. Geometric designs cover the scabbard with twin hanging loops also the straight quillions and pommel. The hilt of classical form with a plated blade of 33" length, curved with a single-edge and three quarter fullers. In a fitted case of issue when presented, to a Diplomat by the then Syrian ruler, Hafez-al Assad who died in the year 2000 AD.

Complete with scabbard of brown leather with all straps present, on the reverse of the frog handwritten in ink are 39/6 also 180.

A VICTORIAN OFFICERS 'MILITARY TRAIN' SWORD. An 1821 pattern officers sword with steel three bar hilt. complete with its steel scabbard. The very good condition 32.1/4" single-edged blade with three-quarter fuller, marked Simmons, Hemmins Row, London. The etched blade with foilate decoration and Victorian cypher under a crown, has on one side in seperate scrolls 'Military Train.' Originally named the Royal Waggoners thence Royal Wagon Corps, then the Royal Wagon Train in 1802. Then between 1856 until 1870, Military Train, later the ASC finally RASC. See Illustration

A MAMELUKE SWORD. An 1831 pattern General Officers sword, complete with brass scabbard. The clean 33.1/2" blade is decorated with stippled foilage and Victorian crowm. The hilt is in need of tightening, complete with brass scabbard.

AN INDIAN DAGGER. A heavily constructed large Indian ceremonial Dagger with carved bone hilt and brass decoration. Complete with a scabbard of covered wood, with 11.1/2" Khanjar style ribbed blade and an overall length of 19". Handle needs re-fixing to the hilt, the original glue having broken down.

The second dagger with silver covered mounts and scabbard, with a 7. 1/2" blade, again in a fitted case. (Presented originally to a British Army Officer on attachment, to the UAE as a Military advisor) C1950's-70's.

A VICTORIAN OFFICERS SWORD (A A W SPENCER) A Victorian officers sword by Henry Wilkinson of Pall Mall, number 32886. Plated hilt with VR cypher and clean 32" blade, etched with A A W Spencer from Major Neary 1894. On the other side of the blade is The West York Regt, also etched foilage and VR under a crown etc. Complete with its brown leather field scabbard. Almeric Arthur William Spencer was the son of Almeric George Spencer born 21st November 1874. After service in the 1st Battalion The West Yorkshire Regt he was in WW1 promoted to Lt Colonel and commanded the 1st battalion the Welsh Regt from 16/10/1915 until 27/11/1916. Then the 1st Battalion Yorkshire and Lancashire Regt from the 9/7/1917 until 11/11/1918. Mentioned in Despatches on the occasions LG 1/1/1916 also 20/7/1916 and 28/11/1917 (Salonika Despatches). Awarded the Legion d'Honneur 5th Class in LG 12/12/1919 Page 15578. Served in Kurdistan and awarded a GSM & Kurdistan Clasp 16/9/1925. Married 1st in 1907 Sybil Lavia daughter of Fredrick William Lawson (Divorced 1927) 2nd Marriage to Charlotte Parker daughter of the Reverend John Leslie Parker on the 22nd July 1930. Died aged 59 years old on the 21st October 1934. Awarded a 1914 Star (landed 5/11/1914). British War & Victory Medals (MID emblem)
