An 1856 pattern pioneer sidearm, straight saw backed blade 22½", marked "Wilkinson, London" with stamps at forte, regulation brass hilt with knucklebow and solid ribbed grip, marked "1.3.02/ 3Ct" (3rd Bn The Connaught Rangers) on top of quillon, in its unusual brass mounted tooled polished brown leather scabbard. An officer’s 1821 pattern sword of the Antrim Militia Artillery, very slightly curved blade 32", by Cook, Clifford St, Bond St, London, etched with grenade cannon, winged lightning, "Antrim Militia Artillery" and wreath within scrolled fenestrated panels, and owner’s crest, motto and "RW" monogram, regulation triple bar hilt, wirebound fishskin grip, in a leather FS scabbard. Basically GC (blade and hilt chromium plated overall, blade edge nicked). Note: The sword of Sir Richard Wallace, KCB, KCSI, retired Maj Gen, Indian Army, 1867. Hon Colonel Antrim Militia Artillery 1873.

A WWII Japanese NCOs sword, polished back fullered blade, 30", no 95102 at forte, regulation steel hilt with sheet knucklebow, backstrap chequered en suite with wooden grip, leather finger loop, spring catch to steel scabbard with single hanging ring (blade sharpened for service, shallow scabbard dents), and a US Remington 1917 bayonet. A Japanese tachi, with a 33.5inch signed blade, pierced bronze tsuba with traces of gilt and fuchi kashira decorated flowers with a button release for the metal scabbard with further mounts, bound sharkskin handle with chrysanthemum menuki, and a Japanese dagger with a lacquer scabbard applied mount of a dragon amidst clouds, 14in (35.5cm) l. damages. Sold with a miniature group of medals, a Defence Medal, a War Medal 1939- 1945, awarded to Major James Morrison Gibson, Royal West Kent Regiment, killed 13.11.1949, with photographs of Major Gibson and colleagues.
