But how could I refuse such a unique opportunity? What remains to be seen is if it will sell for half my acquisition price or less”.

Bowie Style Knife made by "Arnachellum, Salem" in India in the mid 1800's for the US and British market. 27cm blade. Some rust pitting to lower cutting edge. Antler horn grip with steel pommel cap. Retaning catch fitted to scabbard which engages to crossguard. The scabbard is in brown leather with a finely tooled cross hatched pattern. Angled belt loop. Overall length in scabbard 42cm.
