Sword: A fine German 19th century court dress sword; Top of blade marked 'M. NEUMANN HOFLIEFERANT BERLIN' (purveyor to the Court of Berlin). Blade 32" of pipe back form with gilt and blued decoration. Ornate hilt in gilt brass with heraldic shield (3 birds and a leek?). Wirebound fishskin grip. Backstrap with ornate decoration, large lions head pommel with ruby? eyes. In its polished steel scabbard with rust patination A lovely sword and fine example of the German swordsmith art.
Sword: A good 1827 Pattern Naval Officers sword by Gieves. Geo V cypher to blade anchor motif to reverse. Blade 31.5". Folding guard engraved: 'S.J. Savage R.N.' Wirebound fishskin grip. Gilt mounts in its brass mounted leather scabbard in its original carrying case marked 'S.J.S'. With bullion knot. In good original condition. A 'sleeper'.
Sword: A rare Russian 1827 Pattern Light Cavalry troopers sword. Top of blade with Russian inscriptions & dated 1835. Ricasso stamped with a 'T' & 'D' & 'G' within a circle. Leather bound wooden grip (minor losses to leather). Brass triple bar hilt. Heavy curved blade 34". No scabbard. Brass lozenge studs to grip. A rare sword, a standard weapon in the Crimean War. Good overall condition for age.
Sword: An Indian Tulwar of all steel construction. Curved heavy blade 29". No scabbard. Blade with pricker inscription. Dates to 19th century. Rust patination overall. A nice piece and a working sword AND a long Pesh Kabz dagger. Blade 17". Single decoration. Dates 19th century. Another decent piece of some age. Viewing recommended. (2)
Sword: An officers Spadroon sword circa 1800. Straight fullered single edged blade. Blade etched with GR Cypher and simple decoration. Length 32". Ivory hilt with brass 'Cigar band'. Brass gilt cross guard and squared bun shaped pommel. Brass chain links pommel and cross guard. This would appear to me to be a naval Spadroon of the Napoleonic Wars. In good condition for its age (blade tip rounded). No scabbard. Faint engraving to 'cigar band'.
Sword: fine 1831 Pattern General Officers Mameluke sword, formerly the property of Colonel E.A. Wood. Blade etched with Crown & 'V.R.' and 'E.A. WOOD' & 'X ROYAL HUSSARDS' two piece ivory grip (with minor repair) polished steel scabbard with gilt mounts with two suspension rings. Colonel E.A. Wood served in the Afghan War 1878-9 and participated in the assault of Ali Musjid and operations in the Leighman Valley. Nice piece
Bayonets: A good early MKI Ross rifle bayonet dated March 1915. In its MKI scabbard with integral frog and chape. Stamped 'MKI'. Early pattern blade, good walnut grips. Transverse pin to pommel AND a Pattern 1888 Pattern MKI bayonet in its steel mounted leather scabbard. Made by Sanderson Sheffield in July 1892. Pommel marked to Imperial Yeomanry - 'I.Y. over L & B' (Lothian & Border Horse?) Rust pitting to mounts and scabbard but good blade. Scabbard locket loose. (2)
