A Luxury Presentation Russian Dagger, Cooperative "Metallist" Zlatoust, 1928. A straight double-edged blade, decorated with an etching plant ornament with an inscription in Cyrillic "To Comrade Frolov S.A.", "Zlatoust, 1928". The steel scabbard and handle are richly decorated with etching in the Zlatoust style, gilding and blueing. On the scabbard is an inscription in Cyrillic "Cooperative / Metallist / Zlatoust". We cannot post this item but we can recommend a shipperThe weapon presents in condition commensurate with age and light to medium usage. The blade itself is bright and free from any significant corrosion however it does have some patination of age in places. There is no obvious sign of damage or previous repair. The guard has a very nice patination to the bronze, a very deep brown, again free from any sign of obvious damage or previous repair, likewise the shagreen grip is in good condition, all the wire binding is intact and is not loose or damaged and has no sign s of previous repair. The scabbard does have a fair amount of external corrosion which should clean off but it merely patination of age. There is no damage, dents or sign of previous repair. Prospective bidders are advised to study the images carefully prior to bidding
